Whats the point of Aatrox's Mutilator passive?

is it supposed to give him the edge against heal champs like DrMundo Warwick Maokai to make sure they dont heal between his spells? If so why not have the effect extended every time the afflicted champion takes damage from Aatrox or at the very least buff it from 3 seconds to 5 or 6 idk.

Right now I still feel like sustain champions (mainly Mundo R) still Roll Aatrox despite his passive supposed to be their antithesis. (it last a measly 3 seconds?)

If Aatrox is ever a canidate for QoL buffs in the future I think this would be a good idea imo.

People complained about shields being too strong during the Ardent Censer meta. That was why Irelia got her seemingly out of place bonus damage to shields on her passive.

I'd assume Riot did the same thing with Aatrox.

However, with shield durations being nerfed and support items being nerfed as well, shields aren't that big of a problem as they were before.

So you're completely right. Aatrox' passive doesn't make sense.

Gives him % max hp damage, reduced healing and shielding. Great way of dealing with tanks, carries and lowers the success rate of supports saving their carries. And yet peoole still take a synergizeless keystone him called Conqueror ffs.
