Make changes to Summoner's Rift so there's a new solo lane. That way, no more support at last.

Because it's a role where you are the bitch to another player. You barely take any cut of the action, and your most important job is placing these lame ass wards around the map.

you can't be an alpha male in a role contained to being someone's boy toy. Especially when most of its champions are girls.

The "most people dodging explains it" doesn't really help me understanding... Due to the fact I main support I never get to see these people who dodge because they get support. This being... As for the reason less people want to play support it is because dealing loads of damage appeals to many players, and supports do significantly less damage than the damage other roles do, however bring more utility in return.

duckarp2 votesThe role itself is ok and many people like the role as-is, but yeah, the implementation is somewhat lacking. There are games where playing a support is a good experience (e.g. Overwatch). If Riot manages to somehow make it more appealing to the majority, they could easily remove autofill and they wouldn't have any problems keeping the queues healthy.
I don't think removing the role entirely is a good option though.

If I'm autofilled into support, I will just pick my AD champion and we play duo ADC. I'm not buying Sightstone or any of that support shit and sharing farm.

What I can see from your other replies is that you do not thing about others, and you think you are the best person in the world. Okay you can think that, but let me tell you you are wrong.
Others can have fun with a role, maybe it's a smaller percentage of the community but they really like playing it. Your arguments are like saying. I don't like Football SO EVERYBODY must hate it.
Furthermore supports are in a really good spot balance wise right now and are incredibly fun to play if you take the right champ for your playstyle. You can engage, sit back as a mage such as zyra, help out your team with extra hp, watch the suffering of the enemy team as you make a clutch save with lulu and make your team impossible to kill, etc. So it's a great role
