You make some decent points.

Sometimes you're opposing a hyper aggressive opponent who can zone you away from your entire wave. Your options are to either die trying to farm or hug turret and watch it slowly die to creep aggro.
I'm not asking you to always win lane, just for you not lose so bad that the game becomes unwinnable. If you're on a path for 50 cs by 20 minutes, with 0 kills and assists, there is nothing that can be done about that, and there is no excuse either.
Not to mention if the enemy jungler is actually a jungler who will gank prior to 6, you can only flash so many times. Its the junglers responsibility to check out the lanes and see who is having a hard time or who is prone to getting ganked.
Fair enough. As a jungler, I should change my playstyle based off of my opponents. Then again, so should everyone. If you're against a Lee Sin, then you should probably ward and expect early ganks. Against a Malphite, not so much.
Not to mention a laner will get 6 before a jungler will, it's not uncommon for a laner to hit 6 and then immediately all in their opponent while you're still level 4 trying to get 6 off your Krugs.
I rarely see this happen unless a laner gives up a kill or two.
As a laner, all you really need to do is not die and get cs. Meanwhile, junglers need to stay relevant in farm, control objectives and vision, and do their best to make sure all 3 lanes don't fuck up. There is a small amount of Vision and Objective control during laning, but not nearly on the scale of junglers.
