I want to play Azir

But he's not viable. Q_Q

Why do I even have to worry about that? You get flamed, reported and eventually automatically banned if you play undesirable champions, and like 1/3 of the cast is undesirable.

I had quit for about a year and I saw my first Azir today, if I ever see them again in team builder definitely insta-kicked. Granted it was the guys first time playing him he said, but wow what a HORRIBLE champ. I've never seen someone do so little damage and take a carry role. What a joke of a champ, that guy needs a serious rework, buff, just plain Dr. Phil help.

A first time Azir is inherently garbage. You really can't evaluate the champion based on someone's performance playing him for the first time. The champion is way too hard to play to do remotely well with him the first time, especially since he doesn't operate like most other midlaners. He's much more like an ADC than people realize.

actualy the last buff brought him back to usability

at least thats how i felt when i played him

I think his soldiers should proc on hit stuff like lich bane but since there a spell he isn't op. If they we're a spell yet did basics he would be op as hell . but doing some extra damage like having wits end and nashors tooth would make him stronger I'm still not sure if they take thay

i still think he is back

But how I do it seems to be efficient. 1 point in w then w e max q not w all adding points into w does is lower the CD of w that's it so why max that . your damage more or less comes from q

Adding points in W also increases your soldiers' autos' base damage, which makes it worthwhile as well. It depends on the matchup. If you have someone that's always in your face, like Talon, you might want to put more points into E early so your shield is stronger. But against a Xerath you'd want more in W.

W just lowers CD . your natural lvl increase makes there damage higher . like in lulu passive

I've always thought you should strictly max Q on him no matter what. Q is a significant portion, if not the majority of, his damage in a lot of scenarios. It's also crucial for repositioning the soldiers so that you can actually keep doing the auto attacks. having another soldier off cooldown is sort of redundant if you could've maxed q to make your current soldiers charge to where you would've placed the new one. Does that make sense? Q serves the same purpose as W to an extent; having soldiers where you need them. But it also allows more damage and chasing than maxing W.

Since when is he not viable? You're not going to get banned for playing unpopular champions. If you got a ban, it was for something else.

Whenever I pick non-meta champions (jungle Taric, jungle Quinn, etc) I get reported continuously whenever we lose, even when I'm the only one performing well. This leads to a stream of warnings until I pick meta again for a while. Regardless of my performance with meta champions, I don't get reported.

And since reports lead to an automatic ban that isn't checked by Riot - yes, you do get banned for picking against the meta. It hasn't happened to me yet btw, because I'm smart enough to play FotM champions for a while after a bunch of warnings.

Sure, sure. I bet your team feeds all the time and cause you to lose right?

Just play him, get good with him, then smash people so everyone can see that Azir isn't garbage tier :D

45.89% winrate and popularity just a hair above Anivia. Are you sure of that?

Azir is much more mechanically complex than many other mid laners. He looks cool so people try him and fail, much like how Lee Sin's winrate (roughly 45.63%) is not very good compared to someone like Sejuani (56.4%) now. Anivia is another one that is a little rougher to use, but still awesome. Post-6 Anivia's wave clear is probably the best in he game, granted you get a chalice, tear, catalyst, or blue buff. And people seriously underestimate the double damage E from being chilled.

This made sense to me while writing it, but rereading im not too sure, sorry xD

Buy every item that has both HP and AP. Cooldown boots.

Azir's zoning is godlike. I normally wreck entire teams with him. Not viable?

lolol ok keep everyone thinking that while i continue to wreck with him.

khorney1 votes

Well because much like yasuo building a comp around him makes him smash like no other and his passive is awesome . get spell vamp on him since every time the soldiers attack you heal. I want to use him more . I ran him as a supp on account of his poke and yes team flame and yes we lost but the points my team made were minute like if I chose any other supp this would not of happened

Azir is definitely viable. I've played a few games with him and he still brings a lot of damage with just a few items. You gotta learn how to trade with him, and take every opportunity to auto attack the second someone is in your soldier ranges. That and his ultimate is so game changing if you know how to use it properly.
