I clicked the Launch button.
My speakers flew through the drywall and embedded themselves into the concrete.

Here is the default "Windows Error" sound, followed by the "Launch" button sound, where the x-axis is time and the y-axis is amplitude.

When using decibel statistics, the Launcher sound has a peak RMS level about 21db louder than the default Windows Error sound, but using decibel measurements in the digital audio storage context isn't understandable by most users. The Launch sound has a peak amplitude of approximately just over 14.5 times that of the default Windows Error sound. When comparing peak RMS values (which more closely represents how sound is detected by the human ear), the Launch sound has about 12 times more amplitude.
Hey Guys! Just wanted to let you know there is a volume slider just for the launcher itself. Before you hit Launch, go to the upper right hand corner and click on the little gear icon. There you can adjust the volume. This is only for sounds of the launcher - not the main client. Hope this helps!
OMG THANK YOU!!! I always noticed but just never really gave it thought. I've actually unconsciously learned to take off earphones whenever i start up client.
I was on Skype with my brother when he started up his launcher and for whatever reason he didn't have the sound going through his headphones that time (lucky him) and this is what I heard:
Loud DJ Sona Concussive launch screen
muffled screams that were drowned out by said music.
Afterwards the computer started smoking and has since been replaced with a new one. True story.
I have damaged my ears couple times like this,
Now i remember most of the times to put down my earphones to the neck, and more often they stay that way until the game starts.
The one that gets me is the "Patch Complete" chime.
When I mute the pregame music I often forget that I was in queue to begin with.
LOL
MIne is when I forget my computer speakers are at full blast... and it brings up DJ sona xD
I know, right!? I always forget to turn down the volume for this current menu theme.
I alt tabbed when I clicked launch, it delayed for a few seconds.. Then the initial sound scared the shit out of me
Whenever I skype with my girlfriend without headphones I have to have my computer volume up to 100 to hear her clearly and well I was patching League, not currently in call with her but I had plugged in my headphones to play League. I forgot how high my volume was up and I clicked the launch button and I nearly screamed, there was that but you see...my league takes a second to load the login screen and I turned on my in menu sound to hear DJ Sona well, I was recovering from the previous attack and messaging a friend and suddenly CONCUSSIVE SONA MUSIC BLARING IN MY EAR CAUSING ME TO SCREAM AND NEARLY THROW MY LAPTOP.
Needless to say I cried
You know you can adjust the sound before you launch the game. To keep your ears from being blown off.
