How to play against blitz?

I get it, dodge the hook, but, what do i do when he doesn't shoot the hook and just runs really fast at me?(Faster than i can run away)

No, don't dodge the hook. That's not how it works. The idea is to always be in a place where it's impossible to get hooked. If you need to "dodge the hook" you're in the wrong place.

I don't play adc. I play top and jg, usually as bruisers, and notice he's particularly difficult once the teams start grouping.

If he's getting picks then it might be an awareness problem idk Maybe try danger pinging people when they go near the fog. Need to make sure everyone knows that Blitz could be in any bush at any time unless seen elsewhere.

A better approach is to confirm if its a good blitzcrank or a bad one, a bad one will burn up mana trying to constantly 'hook you', meeaning its better to play a champ like morganna or rush boots first to force him to waste mana by your anti CC shield giving him the middle finger and what not leaving him with a crappy 'defensive shield passive' aka 'low' current mana and get dunked hard.

A good one would require more thinking like paying attention to if he tries to pull off 'hooks' between minions and manages to thread it thru, letting one to pull off rather unexpected grabs or they make you think he is going to hook you but instead he rushes up to you with W and E, sometimes flash too then saves the hook for when you run to EZ kill you with the ADC buddy of his. This is especially true if he brought mana regen masteries and item 3301 instead of item 3302 to use it often. Plus they would be more conservative to make sure hooks work or force the opponent to waste flash in the process.

The latter one is where minion blockades is a good idea along with positional awareness, the former you want to capitalize on them being reckless.

Keep the bushes warded and stay behind minions. Your support should never just let blitz run up to you and if your sup does then your sup needs to block the hook. Listen to the other guy tho, he's right you have to always watch positioning against sups that can catch you sleeping.

you can also itemize against it, if you are a mage build banshees veil. play trist, ezreal, or sivir most of which can escape the hook. other than that what LostFrost and Snak said is also correct.

No, you don't understand, ill get either blown up, or ill be tanky enough to survive and dive to the adc, and then my team will do nothing but ping mia on me while they stand there as the enemy team kills me.
