Jax jungle is Useless

I play jax top and jax jungle. When I play jax top, i manage to get kills, lots of cs, and snowball my lane. When I play jax jg, i manage to get a few good early ganks, try to farm, and end up being completely useless during the mid game. The best I can function as is a moderate dps tank with a point and click stun. If I build any more damage than a blood razor jg item then I will be too squishy to teamfight. Somehow I won't be able to duel anybody top lane or jungle because they seem to always just be stronger than me.

What am I doing wrong jungle jax? Gank less farm more? Build different items?

My general build: Bloodrazor chilling smite, Hextech gunblade, Randuin's omen, The rest are situational

I gank a lot early because i think the point and click stun has a lot of early gank potential. Past level 10 I feel useless because you don't gank past that time with all the roaming generally. I'll even be a level or two behind because I'm usually low on hp and mana after ganks or fights that happen from ganks and end up backing.

What am I doing wrong?

Jax jungle is more popular than top because it allows him to afk farm without the constant threat of a laner+enemy jungler. Take advantage of any easy ganks like mid lane after he blew flash, top or bot overextended etc but focus on clearing your jungle. If you see the enemy jungler spending his time on ganks then punish him by counter Jungle him. Each buff you take away from their team is huge and each camp you take is even better.

You don't get squat for gold on assists and it's not much better for kills, the items come from farming. Grind out the camps and you'll be the dueling god mid game.

Jax has kind of a strange power curve because of the items he biulds Devourer is a nice spike but you still dont have the HP to jump in. Trinity after a bit of hp but nowhere near enough yet. 3 Items he becomes a bit tankier and is able to go into a fight for 4-5 seconds but when he starts to reach 5-items he becomes God on the rift. Now that I think about it that isnt a strange curve. LOL

  • In terms of you being low on hp and mana is really weird you must be clearing incorrectly. I'd have to watch a gameplay to see why you get so low.

item 3800 is a better item than randuins. also, really, you should try building more cdr. having e up every three seconds or so helps alot lategame.

Meta right now is this, Buffs than gank.

If you mess up your first gank you are pretty screwed vs a Lee or Kha'zix or Hecarim.

I would reccomend item 3077 for the Clear as farming is pretty overpowerd right now and you can be like level 6 by like 5 mins if you just farm.
