Boards hates champions with a high playrate. Which makes perfect sense.

Boards is the portion of the player base that is very engaged with the game. We play a lot (most of us, anyway). So when we see the same champion over and over again, we get frustrated. Particularly when that champion is inherently frustrating to play against.

People who are less engaged don't play as many games before the meta shifts. They don't have time to get bored and frustrated. In some ways, they probably even like a slightly staler meta, because it means the game is more consistent.

This isn't a bad thing, or a good thing. It's just a thing I noticed and wanted to point out.

When in a game with 130 champions you see only 20-30 every game, we have a problem.

The real question is what the hell you see 30 champs in one game?

Boards hate everything, the incidence of whining just goes up with champion playrate. Unfortunately, playrate tends to go up with how strong a champion is perceived to be, so...
