Serious talk: how do you honestly fight Trundle?

I really don't understand if this champ has any counter play right now.

High damage. Massive sustain. Tanky. AD and Attack speed booster. Steals Health and Armor from opponent. Great CC/Block for catching opponents.

I'm really trying to figure out how you even begin to counter play this champ.

I've tried full tank. I've tried full damage. I've tried AP burst. I've tried mixing the above 3. I've tried out poking/ranging him. I've tried true damage champs Vayne and Velkoze. I've tried ignite and Exhaust. I've tried armor shred champs.

I feel like I have tried everything and nothing seems to work.

This isn't even a troll or complaint thread I am legit wondering what you can possibly do to win lane against this champion.

which champion have you tried this on? lol Trundle is either far ahead or far behind, no in between

The same way you handle any other tank - attack his teammates.

You don't always need to win lane against a champion to beat them. Especially with the nerf to Trundle's tower eating abilities, you shouldn't be overconcerned with trying to kill him in lane. That generally shouldn't be happening without significant support unless the Trundle player vastly over commits to a duel he can't win.

A good pick against Trundle is a champion who either scales well past the laning phase or waveclears well and can roam. Trundle has a difficult time detaching himself from lane and making himself useful to his team against the latter.

For the former, Trundle does remain relevant himself into the late game with his Ult and pillar, but he can't really force you out of lane entirely by himself unless you let him either. He has to fully commit to even trade with you in lane. If you can keep a good tab on the jungler, you should have no issues farming alongside with him and keeping him at armslength. If you can't keep yourself safe from the enemy jungler, you might be boned because Trundle has amazing synergy with strong ganking junglers. You almost never need to fight with Trundle outside of that, though. His ult and pillar are easy enough to bait out and when those are down you can pretty much farm with impunity and sustain back up.
