Can someone please explain how ranked matchmaking works? Here's how I see it: I am currently silver, and was silver last season. Why am I being paired with people who were plat last season, currently gold? Should I not be paired against other silvers? Seriously sick of this.
Faie1 votesThe ranking from last season is just an artifact; it has no value what-so-ever. The only thing that matters is your MMR this season, and those players must have dropped and are worse than they were last season. OR. you have become better and are matched with better players, in which case you'll get more points per win.
No flash no life1 votesThose ppl ended up in silver after their placements and have yet to climb back up. Either that or they turned way more toxic this season, cost their teams the games, and fell down to silver.
