Turret damage is sad. It is absolutely sad.

Turrets seem to do ~100 to 150 damage for the first two shots. That's nothing. Turrets aren't scary at all. You get a mobile champion, jump under turret at level 3, stand there for 4 shots, then jump out and you're golden. It's just sad.

Seriously, turret damage is god awful. When I see squishy ADCs, mages, and assassins tanking turrets time after time and still getting alive it really becomes a problem. No one is asking to make turrets god tier, true damage, indestructible machines of death. We just want turrets to actually be a threat, because at this point the only time turrets are actually useful at deterring dives is for the first 5 minutes, which is god awful if you ask most people.

Riot wants faster games , they encourage flashy dives, etc. I hate it!! They are focused on ESPORTS and LCS scene and they want people to watch all those flashy dives. No one loves long game when someone sits under turret and is safe. I miss old days...

Turrets are placeholders. Most champs are actually more durable than turrets late game. They can go down in less than 5 seconds; some champs can solo them without even a minion wave.

I've seen people take up to 12 turret shots and walk out with 40% hp uncaring. Riot keeps trying to add more damage to the game/ make quicker matches - but they havnt stepped back to see how that affects main game components.

The thing is turrets become ignorable after you get item 3047 which, especially on top, can lead to some BS dives with current meta junglers and toplaners like Elise and Galio .

At level 3, 3 tower shots will nearly kill you.

So that's wrong.

However, at lvl 9... you can take like 5 tower shots without dying as a squishy lol

I seriously hate it when someone 1v1's me under my own god damn tower when I am full health. That isn't even fair and shouldn't even be allowed in the game.

Yeah turrets are a joke now. As an ADC main it's frustrating. ANYONE can dive me and pop me before a turret gets a 3rd shot off, and even still it takes 5+ to kill them. It's ridiculous. They're basically just there for gold now.

What if Towers were actual defence bastions? Something like:

  • Can bodyblock skillshots and autoattacks (both allied and enemy, like Yasuo's WindWall can)
  • Have a (very small) Poppy's W like area (meaning they can't be jumped over or dashed through, by anyone)
  • Their damage scales with range (the closer you are to an enemy tower, the more damage you take)

This way you could actually hide behind your Tower for increased protection, at the cost of not being able to harm your enemy. This would increase the outplay potential that the defender has on the diver.

This is a nothing argument. You are ignoring the existence of other champions who can capitalize on the damage you just took.

You are ignoring how much health champions have.

I feel you. Just 2 games ago I have been dived by an Elise at level 3 and managed to snare her under turret.. I walked away but so did her.. Without minion wave :/

its not the turrets its the champs that have the ability to cancel turret aggro or when 2 people dive you usually they "juggle" the turret shots for a successful dive.

whats the point of having a mobile champ if they cant jump under turret at level 3 take a few shots then leave...

I understand maybe buffing the armor/hp of a turret but do you really want them to 1-3 shot people?

if you are campin your turret and the enemy laner is playing that aggressive then your jungler is 2 blame, not the tower.

Sucks to play a tank and have an enemy dps laner disrespect me by just ignoring me for 4 seconds, taking half my turret down, before finally autoing me to take 1 or 2 shots so he/she can back out and heal it off minions again.
