Matchmaking: Am I supposed to play bots forever?

It seems every game I get into I get matched up against a Diamond 1, Plat 1, (even in normals, not just ranked) and all they do is brag about how amazing they are and how they just went 18-2. Obviously I am not a Diamond 1 player, but how am I supposed to enjoy Normals when all I'm getting is people drastically more experienced and skilled? Playing is fun, sure, but getting slaughtered game after game where you team ALWAYS surrenders between 20-25 minutes? Maybe my expectations are too high thinking I can get one good game a day out of League.

Ranked and Normals have separate rankings. Keep losing games and your ranking will drop to your own skill level.

Then why do I have a consistent 25% win rate outside of ranked?

That game you got the plat and diamond players (I only see one) was in fucking dominion. What did you even expect?

Yeah, it is too much to ask. I'm pretty sure League's matchmaking is designed to create lopsided teams in terms of skill.

The worst part is while enemy has like a diamond/platinum players you have only silver ,bronze players.How the hell this fear and balanced? i mean put some diamonds/plat player on my team to then...There is a reason why 90% of normal games are onesided.

It's not.

It's not supposed to be.

Matchmaking is designed to make the game as lopsided as possible. When Platinum+ makes up only 6% of the playerbase, someone in Silver/Bronze should not see them in near 100% of the games even if they randomly selected players (which they shouldn't, they should aim for all players to be relatively equal in skill), yet that's what you get.

during todays event it became clear that its all a joke.

theres a chatroom feedlfg, for people to group to run tp smite and just farm the jungle letting the other team push mid and win, so long as it goes longer than 7 minutes so theres rewards for all.

when you get groups from chicago, have diamond gold gold silver unranked, and within 20 seconds of entering team que get matched with a full team of sub 30 feed lfgers, on more than one occasion in the same day, you know matchmaking based on skill/performance is broken.

and those were all blind normal on sr 5v5.

I started recently and I've been playing bots only because whenever I play PVP I get wrecked by smurfs. Horrible matchmaking.

Are you playing with party? Party MMR is boooooooosted depending on how many people you have on your party.

Never ever ever listen to anyone who starts going on about how well they did last game. You might as well mute them at that point because it means everything else they say is probably going to be equally pointless nonsense. I don't, but, i'd never have regretted it if I had.

Anyway, ARAM is a good way to become a bit better at PVP before doing the real deal. Once you get past all the IP farming bots and start getting matched with actual humans, that is.....

I'm bronze, and i still win most of my games regardless of this issue, I think its more of a problem with the ranked system in general.

Why do people think this is a problem? The more you win, the higher your MMR is. This just means that your Normal MMR is the same as them. If you keep losing, you'll eventually get matched up against lower ranked players. The system tries to guess who your best match will be. It can't use rank because someone people only play normal and some don't play normal at all. After enough games, your MMR will level out and you'll play against players that are more your skill level.

Checked your last 5 or 6 normal games...there was one time where the enemy had a player higher than Gold and that was a Plat V which basically is Gold. So where are the Plat I's and Diamond I's?
