Thanks Riot for Taric Rework, I needed more people To Ban.

Honestly, I really hate how the community actually treats supports. People steer clear of the role because "they can't carry" or "we have no gold/XP" Yet still find reason to complain about specific champs within the role.

If he's strong enough to merit a ban, that's a good thing. It means he's a really good support that can actually impact games. The only way that would be a problem is if he's a must ban. Yet for that to happen, he would have to have more impact than Ekko, Zed, any of the other OP champ.

Banning phase isn't meant to be a sampler. If you target Midlane, it should mean leaving the OP Supports/ADC/whatever, available.

Don't forget

I find support bans outside of soraka kinda funny.

If you'd rather ban a taric than a jax, yi, xin, yasuo, ekko, graves or zed then go ahead. I have plenty of other supports than can sustain AND cc or just do those roles mutually exclusive. Taric isn't worth a ban. Even a good Taric is reliant on his team not being clowns and has plenty of counterplay if you apply your head. Forethought is the key.

That being said, with over 100 champs to pick from, perhaps another 2 bans per team would make sense. 5 bans makes an actual impact.

"Oh, you banned jax, yi AND xin? Guess I'll go rageblade Irelia, Kayle or even rageblade ekko for Christ's sake now." Cuz trying to ban a particular style of character isn't gonna be done in 3 bans anymore. Want to ban out assassin threats and leave all the tanks open for the opposing team? Sure, ban Zed, Talon and Ekko but you'll be leaving Kat, Evelynn, Rengar, Kah'Zix and plenty of others to deal with. It doesn't work with 3 bans unless you're in pro play and can target specific risks similar to how teams are banning Soraka and Janna from Adrian to force him into his Alistair or Karma and work around that. Wanna target Bjerg? You can ban Zed, Lulu and Azir to try and force out his Corki to work around, but everyone else still gets their OP picks as well.

3 bans is the real issue, not who we feel has to be banned now.

I'm not sure where people are getting this innate fear of Taric from. Aside from his passive, he's got no damage output, he's got a shield that scales on the recipient's HP, a weak heal unless you let it stack, a very easily dodged skill shot stun, and 2.5s charged 2s invulnerability for AOE. He's massively kitable, outside of his ult, his kit is decent, but nowhere near as oppressive as Kench was on release or Braum or Leona. Taric is very balanced, needing only a few minor tweaks. His Ult is team fight changing, yes, but then, name me an ult that doesn't change a team fight.
