Kennen support?

So I am watching Dyrus's stream, and Lemonation is doing support Kennen. I'm intrigued because I play a crap ton of support, and I like out of.....kind of qwerky picks. So for example, shen support. or trundle support, etc.. Poppy support! It allows me something new to play.

I ask the community, do you think Kennen support is viable and a good idea? Or is it just a troll wacky pick? Cause Lemon isn't doing so hot.

Thanks.

It can work, Kennen is my 2nd main and I'll some times play him support...though I mainly stick with him in Top/Mid and some times ADC. The main reason why I feel it can work is since you have ranged manaless harass, though as for actually fighting in a 2v2 lane you don't offer much but for poke until you hit level 6, at which case your ult is extremely strong.

They're better options obviously and I wouldn't do it with randoms, but if you are playing with friends, or at least if your ADC is your friend then I feel it's pretty good. Just pay attention to what your team is and use your ultimate wisely, depending on what your team is will depend if you should flash into the enemy team and Ult + item 3157 or if you should hold onto your ultimate and just stick next to your ADC and only use it when your ADC gets jumped on.

As for Builds and style of how you could play it...I'd say Thunderlords, Start off with Q but Max W first, and first item rush Sightstone still but generally this is how I'd build Support Kennen item 3157 item 3001 item 3089 item 2301 item 3135 item 3020

Depends your elo.

Above gold sure.

Below gold I wouldn't rely on having an ADC you can't save or peel for reliably.

vs a squish comp its good because she can build tanky-bruiser and do enough dmgs (I do same with ekko vs a team with single target cc/burst because you can ult away and make the enemy waste his abilities on you)

Korea did it a lot last year. Quite honestly, I'm surprised Hai doesn't do it, he plays Kennen (and is undefeated on it professionally).

Go watch some OGN VODs, I'm sure the casters talk in-depth about the pick at several points.

I don't think it's that far out there compared to some 'supports'. Yt's pokey with your ult being a pretty big deterrent for people to dive you/your adc, plus the stun stack things can effectively zone people (or if they're reckless, then you get to proc stuns when is prime trading/murder potential for your adc).

The issue is there's not much sustain to be had, and kennen is relatively squishy himself compared to solo lanes (or even as the adc) where he's got dorans and minions to lifesteal off of.

edit: Also I don't think the 'quirky' supports you mentioned are that far out there either. It's assassins or utility free mages (or other adcs) that raise eyebrows imo.
