Why you do dis to me Rito I thought we were friends. My first items as a support is Support Item + 1 Stealth Ward + 1/2 pots depending on my masteries that game.

NOW I NO GET EXTRA VISION.

Seriously though I get what you're trying to do but you're making people who barely ward already just not care about warding ever imo.

Actually you can just start with a Pink ward now... they reduced the cost to 75g.

If I used my pinks like I do my stealth wards, roaming junglers and counter junglers would clear it... 1/2 minute in maybe. I use Stealth Ward to ward more up-river to keep track of the jungler, and since there are usually no sweepers that early in I get away with the extra vision.

Well now when I play support Vi people can stop bitching at me for not buying item 2044 and since item 2049 will upgrade into something useful I might actually buy it!

Touche. I just don't like how all these changes are gonna fuck over AP poke/utility supports big time. >_<

I dunno man, buying a buffed up Frost Queen's Claim alongside a better version of the current Ruby Sightstone instead of merging the two items sounds pretty goddamn sweet. They said that Ruby Sightstone will give item active CDR, and probably still just health, but being able to use all of a supp's many potential actives more often would be sweet. It'll also serve well on some junglers that use items like Randuin's and the Hydras.

That said, If the fully built pure supp items are strong enough to keep in a build (actives included), i can see some interesting stuff happening. Duo tank bot lanes becoming better through better FotMs, midlaners trading off some waveclear priority for gold from pokes with FQC or other shenanigans. I am a bit sad however that we won't see the return of the Murksphere line of items (or at least it's not in the announced stuff). That thing was amazing.

Errrrh. I honestly have a feeling these new Supp item buffs aren't gonna be that great. I am kinda excited for Sightstone but...

Cautiously optimistic I suppose.

Frost Queen's Claim's new active is the deleted Twin Shadow's old one. A midlaner could use it to both engage/disengage with an easy slow as well as detect potential ganks. As far as actually using it in lane, it's definitely not an AP carry's first pick, but some mages who fall behind, feed or have trouble farming post-laning phase could definitely buy to help themselves catch up towards late game while providing some safety (looking at my precious Sona mid right there, farming with her post laning phase is utter crap if the team doesn't actively let you farm). The gold generation upping to 15 per hit is also pretty darn sweet.

And as for the FotM upgrade, i can definitely see some HP tank junglers using it to feed off the lanes (and bring a bit of free sustain, up to a 200hp heal to the laners assuming he gets 4 stacks off!). It'd promote roaming more than farming jungle (great for when you're getting your ass counterjungled!), which can be fine to an extent. The new active as a slow can also be very well used during ganks or escapes in the jungle, or for free sustain since it's a shield. Same thing can be said for a duo bot lane of something like Mordekaiser and Leona or other such combos.
