PSA: Ignoring Champ Select Chat Is Annoying

I'm sitting there, enjoying soloing in DQ and being in Bronze cause #bronzelyfe, when this happens.

Me: Hey Mid, want to swap? (Asking cause while I do like JG and I can do it, I'd rather be mid.) Mid: ... Me: O-kay taking that as a no. If top and support are doing tanky, I'll go something like Diana or Ekko, unless we have too much AP then. Support: ... ADC: ... Top: ... Me: Well, uhm... how's the weather? Rest: ... Me: Welp. Nice talk.

Please. communicate with your damn team so people can stop being right when they say DQ has better communication and they ignore solo players. [slayer-jinx-unamused]

I want to play league so bad that I'm just going to afk during an integral part of the game instead of waiting 5 minutes to queue so i can poop, read sesame street, and make this shit post.

A lot of times I'll be in a different tab or doing something else in champ select and while the game is loading.

Yha had a few games like that. I asked someone if their name meant anything and they said nothing. At the end I just said "good talk"

In ranked your argument is completely feasible and I would never ignore the champ-selection chat at any cost because some people might encourage me to play another champion, which I'm more than happy to do if they feel as if we could win the game if I used x instead of y.

In normals (no offense to anyone out there) I probably won't even glance at champion select more than once because when I queue up for normals, I'm not queuing up to win, rather I'm queuing up because I want to play a video game and I have enough patience stored to give this game a go. Since many people are rude and inconsiderate in the champ-selection chat when I'm queued for normals, the likelihood of me even checking the chat is pretty much non-existent. Thankfully I main support, which is such an undesired role that the likelihood of someone asking to swap with me is small anyways, but most people are too socially inept in normals for my liking, sorry.

I know some people instantly mute all and play the game without the social aspect of it (ie just pretend its a single player game). I respect these wishes and if they dont wanna type or communicate, thats their prerogative. I think theres a report button for that, if its affecting you too badly.
