Forget position ranks being "gamebreaking;" they're just BORING.

Riot hyped up position ranks a decent amount and said that it would be a dynamic and good way to set apart your positions.

But it isn't interactive at all. Maybe I'm missing something but unless you're on a massive win/loss streak it's just +3 or -3. You're always just getting or losing the same amount of LP every single time.

On the position ranks video I SPECIFICALLY remember that different positions got different splash values based on how often you played them; did Riot just trash that idea or do I need like 500+ games to even see that?

Maybe they aren't meant to be fun? I don't really know. It just doesn't live up to my expectations. I thought the position ranks would adapt and change as I got better/worse but they seem like such a static system unless you play fill. Do we need like hundreds of games to see this?

For example, something that might be more interactive is boosting splash based on your recent performance. For example, if you win 5 in a row bot lane and then win a game mid lane, you get more splash (like +4 - 6 instead of +3) because you've proven yourself pretty well so far in bot lane. If you lose you only lose -2 maybe. Could work the other way too. If you lose 5 in a row bot and then lose mid you'll get -4 or -5 off bot lane.

Yeah, I have no idea why riot is presenting it as fun. The main reason for it is because the old matchmaking system simply wasn't working with people getting autofilled in mmr brackets they don't belong. Riot should have just presented it for what it was, it was a change that ranked needs, not something people want. Would have caused less headaches from the start if people were made to realize this.

The way its supposed to work is good but all in all its just a horrible fucking idea.
