What if Teemo's Q inflicted Nearsight instead of Blind?
Teemo's Blind is very binary in its effectiveness. Either it cripples autoattack-centric enemies like Tryndamere or Nasus, or it doesn't do anything against ability-users like Lissandra or Ryze. It also doesn't work consistently, such as against Illaoi's W when she uses it at range.
Just for theory, imagine that Teemo's Q were changed so that it inflicts Nearsight instead of Blind (and assume it would receive number changes to balance it out). Nearsight would be far more consistent against all kinds of opponents, rather than being oppressive or weak. Enemies who get on top of Teemo would be able to dominate him (as they should), but those who are at a distance would be disadvantaged, regardless if they're melee or ranged.
The Nearsight would also greatly enhance Teemo's tactics, allowing him to trick enemies. For instance, Teemo could Nearsight his lane opponent and then duck into one of the brushes in top lane, and then his enemy would have trouble finding him thanks to his passive. Or Teemo could throw down a mushroom while his opponent can't see, letting him more easily bait an enemy into walking into one of his mines. There's more he could do, but these would already be great improvements to his sneaky plays. Also, it would thematically fit him as well.
#This is just theoretical, so don't freak out.
. With blind, Teemo has some chance, because he can blind Jax any time he dashes on him, which saves him a lot of damage. WIth nearsight, he would just jump on Teemo and before the stun ends and Teemo can run away far enough, he would take 2/3rd of his HP, simply because after the dash he is right on top of Teemo and nearsight does nothing until Teemo moves away.
then his Sand Soldiers cannot attack while he is blind effectively shutting him down for a couple of seconds allowing Teemo to finish the job or let a teammate do that. and if he Blinds
then all 4-6 shots will miss which is damn near impossible when they scatter. and any magic casters can just shrug it off while their aoe spells continue to hit.
