In other games smurfing is bannable. In league it's called playing with your friends
And no he wasn't a "boosted" plat 1, he was the one playing with lower level players. He ended the game with 18 kills and 65000 damage, consistently had 30% more cs than the next best player down the whole game.
He was also playing his lv7 main champion in normals. Cool guy and cool game

Slythion1 votesWell, to be honest, normals has never officially been for "top quality" matches. That's what ranked is for.
Normals is a place to play with friends and screw around while still having a competitive aspect. It's about the only place in league where Riot's dumbass logic of "as long as the both teams have the same average mmr then it's good" is appropriate for simply because it is the place for friends to play together.
Unless you're saying we should give up being able to play with friends all-together (unless we are all the same rank) then normals is the exact place for stuff like that to happen.
Hell, I actually like the challenge considering how nothing is on the line. I play against high golds/plats/and increasingly more frequently, diamonds pretty often when playing solo. When I play with my full team in normals however, it's always bronze/silvers with an occassional gold and a rare plat simply because their mmr is significantly lower than mine.
