Do you consider Ivern's brush ability successful?

Considering how League's new totally-groundbreaking ability that shakes up the game, I'd like to inquire about how everyone feels about it. The move is definitely unique but it's honestly one of those moves where you can't tell how powerful it is at first glance. Can you see it being great in professional play? Do you think it will be used in any abuse cases? How does it fare in his power budget, are his other abilities strong enough to make up for this one being situational? What I would like to know is do you think the ranged autoattacks from brush are a good addition, and does it perform well?

What kind of changes would you propose to make it more applicable during normal gameplay and still have it be unique? I believe the ranged autoattack ability seems tacked on and genuinely lackluster.

Kind of, while I've seen some very good brush drops that saved allies, I've also seen allies get ganked from those very brushes. Basically, it has its ups and downs.

when I've played against the occasional support ivern, at most I find it a nuisance. It becomes completely useless as soon as you get a sightstone, but perhaps it could have some potential if used correctly.

It makes serious counters to single-target champs like katarina. I just had a match where katarina would look to jump in and my teams ivern just bushes over us and she keeps running into us to die without shooting any ability. the result was a 5/11/6 kata son

I'm not sure anybody can answer this question right now seeing as Ivern has an extremely low player base.

It's a great way to escape enemies.

Well Ivern is pretty op (as in mid/late game his ulti only has 50sec cd and brings out a minion that can tank drake/baron for 3k damage)

Meanwhile i only dislike his E as i never found it helpful.

OP in terms of: -creating an extra Jungle Buff -his ulti being able to tank lots -2sec root with 8sec cd isn't bad either -as long as he's in a bush he gets a crazy amount of extra damage -you dont have to waste your time doing jungle as you can just activate your passiv (as long as you have enough hp/mana) and then just simply recall and pick the camps up without any effort at all :D

Downside: -sucks before level 5 -cannot do shit outside of a bush without his ulti (melee, only a root skill)

(only played him once tho, so this list might be incorrect in some points and is just my first gameplay opinion)

Ivern is really great all around except his W's passive tbh.

Just don't like him having a self AA empowerment which gains value if you DPS. Unlike other supports it doesn't have multiple uses(Sona's AA, thresh's allows playmaking, Naut's roots) or given to allies(Nunu's AS steroid/nami/lulu etc.)

Just overall feels wasted since it takes too long to actually rack up value and doesn't improve his Passive/Q/E/R, Nor can he give it to allies who can get value from it.

Not to mention his ranged AA doesn't feel smooth...

But the bush making portion feels great mid game onward because that's when your allies can really capitalize on it's uses. I still feel like getting ivern's W before Q/E are max is a waste though cause W eels like you're forcing value from it if you use it pre-9 or 13 when sneaking objectives or teamfights aren't really needed.

Yes early it can break vision or set up in-lane jungle ganks but those stuff are better in premade higher elos imo and not really reliable since usually forcing a jungler to do an in-lane gank instead of them doing it naturally can screw up.

I love placing bushes though and they feel a success just really hate the passive as it's single target dps when ivern isn't going to get as much value from it nor can he give it to allies.
