How do you beat brand?

He's got the be the most unfun champion to vs for me and every time I vs him I get tilted through the roof, I feel like no matter if I dodge his abilities, he lands one and I die, how to I beat this abomination, please :(

No its certainly not the case. Brand has no scaling MR, its base value is 30 and thats it, on top of having not very much base health. If you have something that can do a direct engage on him and just cc him he's pretty much instantly dead. His stun chain is absolutely deadly but hard to hit because he first needs you to be ablaze to do it. Other than that avoid fighting near minions. Even if he does E W and then R you, the damage isn't enough to kill you from full health in laning.

Champions that can dash around Brand his abilities are generally the best. This is because before Brand gets his CDR items his cooldowns are on 8-10 seconds of his skills. You can greatly use this to your advantage if he's wave clearing. As he's not a very safe mid laner due to having low health a jungler gank can devastate Brand, because he often is forced to go back, miss experience, get levels behind which makes his combos less effective against you.

He's great for teamfights but in laning he's not really that good in my opinion.

Range and assassination

If you are playing a medium range mage or ADC you got to rely on outskill him and dodge the stun. Remeber that a well placed ultimate by him can kill you alone if you are between minions and you are similarly fed.
