Why do new players get free silver again?

Just curious, lost free silver 1 promos because we had a fresh 30 that feeds every game because they have no idea how to play the game. Fine there new, not there fault. But riot, why are we pretending that fresh level 30's are ready to fight golds? Unless you were pretty decent at another moba it doesn't happen. The other team had 3 golds and 2 S1's. He didn't stand a chance. He dropped 7 deaths by 10 minutes and made playing bot with him impossible.This is part of the reason silver is such a frustrating elo. You have so many players that just started the game and derank.

Silver 5 - Gold 5 is where the average league player’s rank is. So it is practical to put them at the average rank and see if they’re better or worse than the average player.

i agree with you , this is why new players no matter how many placement matches they win , they should still be placed in bronze .. new players shouldnt be placed in silver even if they win 10 of their matches

Not that they should be placed in bronze... but matched against bronce V's. You know league doesn't really care about you, that's why they put you against silvers in placements. Doesn't make sense. What does in league though?
