The absolute state of top lane

I'm done with LoL.

It's official. I quit many, many times but today will be the final.

The constant pandering to unskilled players lead to the current gameplay that I as an individual just don't find fun anymore.

As a top lane main , I never felt the game was in a worse state than it is now.

I as a top laner have no power over the outcome how my lane goes. It's all up to my jungler weather he will gank or not.

I play renekton top, one of the best jungle enablers in the game, but it all boils down to = does my jungler gank more than theirs?

Wards are not a realistic counter since you can get dived, and the most popular junglers are lee, zac, rek sai champs that can gank you from pretty much any direction.

I can crush my lane, but it doesn't matter since I will get more hard camped the more I try to win, and what my jungler does in the meantime is a complete dice roll.

Instead of transitioning to jungle like I planned, I am just gonna give up on the game. I've been playing since BETA, many years ago with many pauses, (not that anyone cares) but ... This is it.

Time and time again I get spam ganked while my jungler does nothing, and time and time again my jungler ganks and I just win off of that which feels rather stupid.

Jungle is just too bonkers, farming and feeding at the same time with nearly 0 downtime unless they go buy items feels RIDICULOUS. They suffer NOTHING by just setting a camp next to you and sitting on you whole game.

I wish they reduce junglers to their Season 2 state or something like that. Having access to keystones only lowered the jungler's early game handicap so they can now nuke you for 40% of your hp with a single Q + Q + AUTO + Thunderlord from Lee for example.

They start ganking at RECORD times (I got ganked at 2:30 or so once), scuttle crab is basically like a hp potions, then they have plants, then they have dragon + rift herald control so if you die top to a gank shit can snowball out of control pretty easily.

Just few games ago I picked trynda into gnar and played carelessly as hell giving up many solo kills, but inbetween those my jungler was there so we could pick up kill + assist for us. I won the game and got his tower first despite dying many times to him 1v1... His jungler just didn't show up.

Honestly, I'm done. Yes it's a team game but come on ... Jungler has way too many options and right now jungler can deny top laner from carrying way too hard. Top lane is GARBAGE. There are no penalties to the jungler camping, none ... They don't go behind in levels, they lose nothing.

Sorry for the rant but I'm just sick of this pathetic state of the game where solo kills mean nothing and kills + assist are the king.

The problem for me when I top lane isn't that I'm at the mercy of the junglers but that I'm at the mercy of bot lane. I can dominate my lane, but have had a lot of games go to crap because bot just fed and fed and fed. Somehow me at 4/0 is supposed to carry against that enemy Draven who's 9/0.

Do what I do, and permaban Draven. He's super stupid atm.

Unless I can also ban every single ADC besides the one my team's ADC is using, then that doesn't work. It's not Draven and Caitlyn,(I really don't see him all that often in my games) it's with almost EVERY bot lane. My bot lane goes up against Twitch, he gets fed. Now I have to somehow carry against this rat that's so fed, he can just pop out of stealth and practically instadelete someone who's even going full tank.

The enemy is Lucian. Now I have to deal with this black guy who just instagibs everyone while going PEWPEWPEWPEWPEW!

And Jhin, oh gawd 4th hit crit or whatever the horrors of all that.

I could go on, but you get the idea.

Main thing is that if you're top lane you have pretty much NO control over what goes on bot. With a good opportunity, you can at times go mid and gank or help out there, but it's much tougher to get to bot lane to cover those feeders without letting your lane opponent free farm and get tower unopposed.

I've never once seen any other ADC 1v3 the enemy team at 10-15 mins when ahead besides Draven, but yes, I can see your point.

I'm not sure what your champion pool is, and I don't know all the specific match ups (damn this game is super complicated), but you may want to focus playing champs with a lot of roam potential, wave clear, and team fighting (like Gnar, current meta ChoGath, maybe Sion). These guys will help you clear your wave and roam for a little bit. You also say that you dominate lane, but in my experience as a jungler, when that happens, the player usually sticks around just to get some poke at the enemy under tower, just for a few extra hits, totally pointless. That's when you should roam, unless your jungler is there for a tower dive.

You can always tell if your bot lane is pushing too hard and overextending, because the minimap shows ZERO wards. Sometimes a warning ping will do the trick. I remember doing that for a top laner who was way out there, I just pinged, and the guy backed off, and then there was that enemy jungler waiting for a gank. The guy thanked me for the ping, said he totally didn't see it.

Sometimes, especially for bot lane, players get super tunnel vision, focusing so much on their lane opponents, that it slips their mind for the simple stuff.

You can also look for a potential countergank on bot if they overextend. Let's say your bot is pushing hard, and winning hard, but they forgot to ward, or are out of wards. So you keep your eye on it. As soon as you see the jungler appear, pop that teleport and get some kills, even if it looks risky. Most of the time it works out, or the jungler backs off in fear.

Sure, all of this seems like more work, but as a jungler, I have to do that and more if I want to carry my games, and I'm without teleport, so I can see potential in the bot lane, but be all the way up top. I have to see a minute in advance on everything and predict enemy movements. Top and mid lane are similar, but with the difficulty of dealing with CSing and a lane opponent. So you guys have to focus on winning lane, and helping out with those pesky skirmishes that happen here and there.
