I mean, objectively, season 7 is the WORST season gameplay-wise.
Season 6 was so bad I straight up refused to play it, but Season 7 is even worse

Kai Guy6 votesWhere you not around Seasons 1 and 2? Personally I do not have fond memory's of them. So much stuff was just bonkers, for example how Eve would just murder you and half your team. This might not be the most fun meta we have had for last few years but most the problem seems to be with how well tanks adcs and supports are working together to push other roles out of the picture rather then individual champions instantly winning the game.

Season 1. I never enjoyed the assassin flooded seasons. Where you blink or go to re-ward a spot only to end up grey screened.
Don't get me wrong I dislike the general census of how games are won so fast now and adcs have huge damage reduction on top of thier damage. Making them all feel like reworked graves. Thankfully I only had to suffer 10 games to get to that sweet point of ranked retirement. xD

literally every role had agency and almost every champion was viable
you could carry from nearly any position made supporting more fun too as you had different people to support if your adc was meh
way more back and fort in games as people would make comebacks and throws it was just better and more fun
besides that, elo matters too, the people in low elo wont play adc as well nor protect them as well once you get higher and people start doing this you will be forced to adapt and do the same or you are screwed.

Towers are complete garbage. - You die once within 5 mins of the lane phase, your tower is gone or chunked to the point of becoming dived 1v2 from the enemy jungler.
Death timers are still a year long.
More and more "team items" are becoming meta, but in solo Q what's the point in building or buying them?
At least it's not all bad, it did take Riot like 7 years to finally mute pings and such so, gj for that I suppose. It was so great seeing ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? 24/7 year after year.
I play League my way(Trick2g style) use to play as the TP tank but now, I just tp away from my team.
You think League will get "better" lol, it will only get worse. The ranked system still makes 0 sense. So winning gets you higher in the standings but it doesn't count in your placement games, and start 3-4 levels below what you ended a year before(Silver 2 season 6, Bronze 2 season 7) ?

Assassins are OP and ruin the game for everyone with constant surprise bush-sex (except they don't) ADC's are both totally useless and necessary, making it extremely unfun (except they aren't) Tanks are unreliable in soloque, since you can't depend on your team for the carry, and you can't carry yourself (lowkey true)
Something along that vein is good. Otherwise you're just spewing crap out your bunghole.
also, I'm having a great time this season. I got to silver (yay!) and am having a blast screwing around with anivia, velkoz, kayne and galio. Let go of the past, and focus on the now, or you're gonna get stuck back there.

The only think that sucks is the persistent tank meta. Hypercarry ADCs are mandatory because nothing else can deal with tanks currently. They have glorious itemization that is relatively cheap and with mage itemization being absolute trash (and assassins to a lesser extent), nothing else can deal with them.
If we were in a real ADC meta, we'd see them in 3 lanes per game again, rather than Kog and Twitch exclusively.

If you're playing into the meta for this season its actually pretty fun... Previous seasons I played there was a split push competition between top laners almost every game and you had to cross your fingers your top laner was the stronger one and could stop him, otherwise you'd have to send a whole lot of people and lose an objective every time to stop him. It was annoying af. This seasons meta is more team fight oriented with more focus on objectives.

If by solid, you mean full of busted ADC items and consequently OP marksmen, then sure. I honestly agree that season 4 was the best, even if there were some busted champions around causing problems, I'd take that problem or the current wack archetype balance that we have now. At back then, even position contributed about equally towards your team winning, now it's easily 70%+ADC doing well/snowballing or at least not feeding that matters.

See, ADCs have been bonkers many times before (usually most of the times before) and have almost ALWAYS had the lion's share of the impact on the outcome of the game.
There's a reason they're the only class to never be truly outmatched in any iteration of the meta.
