Holy crap, he can beat the crap out of them easily if you play him correctly.

tries to E you? Press E and spam joke.

tries to get to you? Red buff, and and Arcane Shift gave him a personal fuck you.

wants to Q-E-R combo you? E away and laugh at her stupid ass bitch face.

wants to cage you for damage? Just E away, his wall doesn't stop blinks.

Holy shit, he literally counters every meta pick, yet is not a must ADC/AD mid pick.

"yeah but muh vayne dealing true da" oh yeah, muh vayne getting deleted once the enemy team has at least one brain to buy a pink ward.

"muh tahm ken unbench the ke" Oh right, the Kench that can't do shit to you as you stay from 1150 range of him with your Qs.

Seriously, Ezreal is a mega strong pick right now. He's basically the best counter for this Juggernaut meta.

Did you really use items to say that he counters meta picks? By that logic anyone who built those items would counter Lux or Garen.

Though the real reason is because he's weak in his primary (ADC) role compared to others like Jinx and Vayne, and he's also less safe at his other role (mage) than others who can kite better (Vel'Koz, Anivia, Zyra, Karma, Lulu, Lux).

Ezreal has tons of utility but his damage is really limited.. his laning phase is weak, his w is useless, his ult cant clear a whole wave (while tristana has insane waveclear on her e) and he has selfpeel with iceborn gauntlet while champions like vayne and trist have it in their kits included.

both have more damage. tristana is as mobile as ezreal and gets resets, has an insane AS steroid and sieging power with her bombs.

There is no reason to pick up anything else than kalista, vayne, jinx and trist tbh.

You forgot that these items (ok some of them) are incredibly expensive and their building paths isnt always good for you.

Fullbuild Vayne and Trist would outdamage him by far. Ezreal deals damage if he snowballs but that is hard to achieve because of his weak laning phase.

trist or vayne with these items would outdamage ezreal by far. Trist would get a lw instead of the botrk i think but the items are not in the right order so nvm. item 3031 item 3153 item 3006 item 3046 item 3139 item 3072

His damage IS limited. You're talking about a skill that gets empowered by items that goes off every 3 seconds, we're talking about Hyper carries that do more damage in 1-2 AA's than Ezreal does with his whole kit. Why? Crit. Ezreal doesn't benefit from it on his Q, but Hyper Carries absolutely destroy with it

One problem. You're assuming perfect conditions. You're assuming you won't get CC'd. A dead mans plate garen can and will catch up to you, especially if he uses Q to mitigate bork and IBG. A darius will take too long for you to kill as primarily an AD caster so he too will eventually catch up.

Veigar still one shots you. E won't always be up, QSS won't always be up.

Lux doesn't need to Q E R to beat you. She just needs to spam you down. With only a bork for life steal, you're not healing too fast. Those E's will chunk you down hard, and you can't simply E out of everything. If E was the answer to all, then Ez would be dominant.

And that's not taking into account dominant ADCs. You're not kiting a Kalista. You've got range on vayne, but if she gets to you, you're essentially done. Jinx just simply outclasses you in every which way.

Plus you also don't take into account mages, who can end ADCs with ease. Mages like Viktor, Azir.

If launching long range spells with slows attached on low cool downs worked, then you'd see lots of Rylai's ziggs.

Good luck killing that 4k hp Juggernaut while your Qs deal like 300 phys damage and you cant usually hit all of them. Normal AD carries deal more damage
