Ruby Sightstone change

Having Ruby Sightstone grants an extra inventory slot for Control wards only. I think this would be really cool for Riot to implement.

That could be done too but I'm not a greedy person. I think Riot could easily test the idea of Supports gaining an extra Control ward item slot with Ruby to see how it pans out then if it seems good add it to the Eye items. Also, Ruby makes you use two item slots as a support, 1 for gp10 item and one for RSS. Gaining a slot back seems like a good trade for this item.

Problem is support isn't the only one who uses control wards.

And you couldn't just add it to item 2049 ?

Yes, jungle wards too.

I would love to see something like this. Maybe to where if you upgrade to Ruby it gives the player the option to purchase a control ward (so they still have to spend the gold) but it doesn't take up one of the 6 item slots. Since I do think it would only be fair that players still have to purchase the control wards, and still only have one on the map at the time.

I'm a support main, and I play enchanters mostly, so I almost always upgrade to Ruby Sightstone for the cooldown reduction on the actives of my Frost Queen's Claim. That, and I typically need the extra HP. But once we hit mid-late game, I no longer have a free inventory spot for a control ward. And that's when the big fights for baron and elder dragon can literally cost the entire game. With champions like Rengar, Shaco, Evelynn and Twitch still being relatively popular, I can't risk having my sweeper on cooldown because I had to sweep a ward. Any decent enemy team stealth engage would know that they could engage the second my sweeper drops. I've seen too many matches lost because there was not enough vision around those objectives, or because someone had to sacrifice buying a major item component to have a control ward and were at an item disadvantage.
