So I see Ryze has a winrate of 40% in both top in mid

So when is he going to get yet another rework?

Somehow the last one managed to make him even worse. After 125 games in plat+, he's only at a 45% win rate. Yes, yes I know winrates don't mean anything, but he still sucks enough that he's getting banned 17% of the time just so you don't get one on your team. When a champ gets banned more than 10% of the time because he's bad and you don't want a teammate to throw the game in champ select, you know he's very bad.

So Ryze rework, take 17, confirmed?

He just came out. The previous iteration of Ryze had a shitty win rate for many patches before high level players figured out how busted he was.

In my lowly opinion, he's still really really strong it's just that people haven't figured him out yet. His AOE damage potential is actually insane, not to mention the ability to teleport your entire team, Tahm Kench style.

He gets banned partially because it's hard to find someone who has mastered his new style (not because he's a bad pick), and partially because some have seen him in the right hands and know that he can be a monster.

So he's OP in the right hands, okay.

Will he need to be nerfed/reworked when more people figure him out?

I don't think so. His power is still in his ability to scale, and then he is sustained damage late game. In terms of power I think of him as an AP AOE Vayne, but with a harder early game.

Ryze is actually very strong, people just still haven't figured out what to do with him.

He's one of the most banned champs in Korean solo que currently.

New rework: Riot has decided to just change Ryze into the Kraken from Evolve. Now he will fly in the air throwing lightning at enemies while being untargetable by all melee skills, have 3 mobility charges for a move, have giant AoE knock back, and a 2nd giant AoE knock back that does tons of damage. Enjoy.

His main problem is his ult is telegraphed so its hard to use. TahmKench ult has the same issues.

Its like, oh, incoming ult, I'll just go this way then... And thats even if he can convince someone to jump in his mouth during his ult.

Ryze right now its mostly 'you're coming with me whether you like it or not', like a mix of TahmKench Bard ult

It'll be really odd not seeing him massively buffed before Worlds.
