Bruisers abuse it too well as it gives damage through the roof yet lets them build multiple tank items.
If the damage was reduced or otherwise changed in how it was calculated or dealt, they would have to build more damage and become easier to kill.
Multiple champions would be far less problematic as a result.

If someone devotes themselves to Triforce, and it's massive time and gold-investment, they deserve a good trade off.
If someone feeds hard and the enemy finishes their Triforce before 12 minutes, they deserve to get beaten by it.
