I think there will be more aram accounts after runes reforged

I'll probably make one. I mean, why not, right? Won't need to level it at all. Just grab a few champs and ur done.

On the other hand, with uncapped leveling, wouldn't you want to focus all your xp gains on one super account for those juicy high level cosmetic rewards?

I don't think that favours aram only accounts over standard ones, since afaik most skin rewards are still random shards, rather than specifically for champs you own.

If anything a main super account would have more owned champs to potentially earn S rank chests from during aram, to have that chance of earning a skin for a champ you enjoy playing via those.

I'm a little biased though, since I usually make a point to always accept trades in aram and play whatever I get, even if it feels pretty rough trying out wonky builds on the otherwise not-so-useful aram champs. (I'll occasionally allow myself rerolls if I already have the S chest for what i have and I have one available to earn.) Those more focused on climbing to a high ARAM elo and then basically having lux/ziggs poke off wars would prefer the specific account though I suppose.

I just meant it's going to be a lot easier to have alternate accounts for any purpose like aram only or smurfing

Ranked at least still requires level 30, so theres the same ole grind for smurfing purposes. A bit easier in that you don't need to grind up runes as well, but tbh high elo smurfs can probably still spank low elo even with tier 2 runes, or even no runes at all.

Other stuff will be easier perhaps, but the novelty of the specific account might wear off compared to the opportunity cost of getting that xp onto the main account.

I think leveling is easier in the new system. My PBE account is level 43.

You still have to level it for summoners spells and access to the game modes.

well i already have like 3 level 25ish accounts that i lost interest in leveling now those accounts will be easy to use for anything like smurfing or aram only
