Why bother being a melee damage dealer

When you can be a tank with health, CC some long ass CC that is upfront burst damage (note not saying one shot burst but still burst before you can reasonably get damage to peel you off) when 9 out of 10 times you can't itemise against the tanks because then you can't kill the carrys Tanks are given so much damage now and can 1v1 duellists, so when are they bad? better in team fights, can out duel thanks to cc burst and damage and just the cherry on the icing stop you healing if you did build something like Botrk.

then you just have the full ad j4 killing all the squishies near instantly and still walking away pretty healthy

Tanks are out damaging bruisers right now which is super fucking bad. Roles arent in place atm

Supports are also rising pretty hard damage wise

Fun?, idk if have noticed for the most part it's like rock paper scissors (depends entirely on champs/builds tho) Ranged adc's > Tanks > Dueling/buiser > adc WITH a lot of wiggle room and exceptions, plus variability of how ahead/behind someone is.

Mobile melee champs with high dps are doing fine. It's the less mobile ones that have to actually balance damage and defense that are struggling. Tanks like Ornn and Maokai are currently outdamaging them, while generally being much more useful to a team.

Don't worry, they're buffing Darius, Riven, and Camille. Surely, that's going to help all of them.

I feel the same can be said with immobile non burst casters too. Its mobility is not giving enough weight when looking at a champions balance. Safe champs do as much if not more than the non safe ones. So yea why choose a Melee without mobility or a caster with instant death or mobility, other than just liking the champ?

The last patch of the year is apparently going to have a lot of work done for bruisers.
