Mages vs Auto-Attack champs

So I will try to make this short but League has become increasingly silly in how freely mages can spam abilities even in the early game to the point I wonder why Mana even exists. I have two perfect examples for this:

I play Katarina mid and I repeatedly get out spammed by mages in mid lane, not out played or pressured off but just the amount of abilities used. And yet the drawback of low Mana does not effect the mages like it used to. Even without Mana pots they never seem to run out of Mana except in the MOST extreme cases of spamming.

Bot Lane with dual mage comps having a dominating effect and are making most Auto Attack champs not viable. With the exception of burst styles like Lucian, Ezreal, and a few others.

So if this is the direction League is going when is the removal of Auto champs like Caitlyn and Jinx happening? They are being pushed out so heavily and completely that they might as well not exist in the game anymore. When is either, a Nerf to Mana based mages, so that they have to actually MANAGE their Mana again(at least in the early game) or a buff to Auto Attack champs so they can compete with the insane early game damage output being brought by the mages in bot Lane happening? Cause if something isn't done then Riot might as well delete the auto attack champs from the game.

And honestly I don't mind any other changes they have made. But as a player who prefers auto attack style carries over mages seeing them become so completely dominated in a very unarguable way is just disheartening. Am I missing something or is this assessment accurate?

all mages have to build mana or heavy mana regen to be effective...

Shouldn’t this always be the case because of the weaknesses and strengths of the ADC and Mage roles? ADC’s are weak early but strong late. Mages are strong early but fall off late.

Mage players usually refuse to admit their class is broken.

the champion is only half the solution

skills always plays a key role

I've played a proper Mage (Malzahar) into a Katarina, thinking I could fight her if I played smart but aggressive (keeping my distance when I could but going in if opportunity arose). I've lost a great deal of those fights. Just because you play a specific champion in a lane against a mage does not always equal loss.

The only champion I religiously ban in mid more often than not is Fizz because I can't fight him in any fashion, otherwise I try (and sometimes succeed) to fight every other champion I run across in the mid lane

Lol the top lane option is so funny, mages go top quite often like cass, kass, Viktor, and a couple more but yeah mages are so strong right now and have been for such a long time. Strong early and even stronger with a one-shot combo every ten seconds.

Why not just play 5 mages. Actually I dare you to even pick 3 and see how far you get in a solo queue game when you wonder why you get steam rolled 5 v 5 mid game.
