wait, i saw Taric's ult in the Ryze spotlight
Taric's ult looked like it put a gold frame around the HP Bars of his teammates Is that a thing? because thats a really cool idea and should be on Kayle's ult as well

Riot mentioned that they wanted to do this a while ago to make "you can't damage me" effects more visible without cluttering up the field (they've already upped the visual noise on Taric's ult quite a bit but still run into players just not knowing when the ult is on and when it wears off)
I guess they have the change in testing right now, hopefully there aren't any problems with it and they can get it polished off and shipped soon.
Yep. We're working on a standardized 'this unit is invulnerable, so don't bother trying to hurt it right now' visual indicator for Taric, Kayle, Zhonya's etc. We've been playtesting it internally including in games like those used for the Ryze spotlight, it's not yet ready for release though (needs to account for special health bars like Jhin/Annie and needs to be coded at release quality rather than just a quicker prototype to prove the idea).
just wondering, why the outline? rather than, say, turning the red health gold? I'd think it would be easier to see, and also you wouldn't have to worry about the special hp bars.
We wanted to preserve the way different colored healthbars help distinguish different types of champion at a glance (yellow = me, green = ally, red = enemy).
Aren’t those the colorblind settings? Green = me, Blue = ally, Red = enemy
also, remember that there caaaan be colorblind issues.
looks pretty cool.
It would be interesting to have golden bars around champions that have invulnerability or any ability that is being ready to activate. It can help players learn to not waste their abilities or use them in sticky situations for more interesting plays.
