Urf was only fun for the first couple days

After that everyone started going super meta try hard in it and it died.

Would rather have doom bots back. That did not become super meta and was actually kinda challenging especially with randoms.

I think it was still fun as hell.

Yeah. It would be really fun for the first few days or so at least but people get tired of it after a while

The only time I would see someone playing URF and never getting bored of it are the ones that mostly play game modes that isn't SR (Aram, Twisted, and used to be Dominion)

I'd love it for when I take a break from Ranked.

Completely agree and that is one of the reasons why Riot decided not to make it permanent. it loses it charm when everyone decides what is "OP" or works really well in URF. it becomes a bore-fest when the same set of champions are only being used/ban. And the worse part is when in this joke-type of mode you get harassed or called a troll for picking "not so good" champions. I remember when it first came out. i really wanted to play Sejuani, and Quinn both of which were consider troll picks and every single time i tried to play as them (as well as other champions like them) nothing but toxic chat telling me to kill myself, and for ruining the game. The mode which isnt even suppose to be serious, and im not allowed to pick certain champions because to some people its only about winning and not about enjoying and testing out certain build, or how champions work in this mode.

Man I feel really bad for you that you had to go through that dude LOL

A meta truly develops in even something like URF and some people just try-hard it even when its intended to be a non serious game mode

This is exactly why I can't play it after the first day each time. I want to play funny melees and stuff like that, but man is it impossible into Lux and Ezreal every game.

I didn't notice that tbh. I played pretty consistently, and there was always random people trying random things. The stacking Nasus, the AP pantheon, afk Caitlyn ulti spam, perma-swain ulti, teemo perma-blind.

I agree. I didn't even find myself playing the mode when they last brought it back. It's fun to play a couple of times, but it quickly loses its novelty.

That's really all it is. a novelty.

Nope. Give us URF summoner 4

Aaaaa. I don't get why people are downvoting so hard lol

Anyway, I completely agree with you

Last URF, my friends were extremely hyped for it but they played it for a day or two and got bored of it. I didn't even get to play that much URF with them because they all binged on that game mode on the first day and immediately got back to blind pick lol

This is true, everyone is freaking out that they wont get it for two weeks when its fun for like 3 days top before everyone plays Zed, Katarina and Nidalee.

Pretty much, at least during the first urf they disabled most of the annoying champions. But by the second time urf came around where these champions weren't banned, Katarina MasterYi Maokai Fizz Sona Shaco Skarner Morgana Hecarim Lux Ezreal Nidalee , at least four of these champions every single game.

Im sure it got boring to those people that played the same group of champions, but if you were like me and willing to experiment with less than meta picks you were able to have a lot more fun with the mode. The game mode actually helped me pick up a lot of champions that I wouldn't normally play, I still play them to this day thanks to URF.

"Im sure it got boring to those people that played the same group of champions"

No it didn't, there is a reason during the first urf champions had to be disabled for how often they were used.

OP is right though. It was fun at first, but after a few days it's just the same old sh*t every time.

Agreed.

One for all was the best gamemode. Or all for one, whichever one allowed you to have 5 of one champ vs 5 of another

Nope. While it's true that after some time it does begin to be less exciting (though by no means boring, at least not more so than normal League), that time period for most people is far more than a day. I know that for me and my group it was only around the end of the two week period that it started to lose its excitement.
