The balance teams are really getting abit crazy with changes.
PBE changes: Udyr now heals for over 1000 HP a hit while in turtle stance.
Not even a meme. Go check him out on PBE, it's hilarious.

Smells like preseason
Yah. That's not intentional.

Everyone knows it's a bug. But seeing as I don't understand coding I can't wrap my head around how something like this happens.
How about making a champion that does this in future :P
Doesn't seem like something we'd want to build a champion around. My guess is it's not a complex coding thing but a mistaken decimal somewhere. We're changing a lot of numbers for preseason so my best guess is this is a simple input error.
Didn't this happen with Udyr's tiger stance DMG too some time ago, where it did 10x the normal DMG?
What's up with Udyr getting all these random decimal errors ^^
The dude is nothing BUT a ball of numbers, stands to reason the bugs on him are more likely to be number related.
True, it's not like his skillshot is gonna randomly hit something across the map.
Ahh the missing decimal point. I remember when Jinx's W at level 3 (and only level 3) would one-shot anyone who dared get hit by it.

Level 6 Twitch has had this problem all season.
Petition for the QA team to start releasing a blooper reel every patch or two with all the funniest bugs that got caught before being released to PBE.
they did it more than once. For example there was another graphical Udyr bug where he stretched across the whole map while moving...
Wait wait wait... hahaha... that makes it sound like each rank of a skill is coded as it's own individual object instead of changing the variables of an existing object
Its fairly simple. 20.00/60.00/10000/140.00/180.00
Note what one of those lacks.
No i understand that, but you could just as easily initialize, or make accessible (and initialize it at load screen), a creator object (which creates the actual instance of the spell) when you rank it up the first time, then have a value which is simply adjusted by a preset amount every time you run the code associated with ranking up that skill. 20.00 (+40.00)
In which case, you'd have every instance beyond the missed decimal (if it was a relative adjustment) or you'd have one which scaled insanely quickly, because say it increases it's base damage by 500 every rank instead of 50.0
I asked a friend who works on paragon, and my understanding is that it's common to actually use a spread sheet style database for this, where it just references the appropriate position on cast to create an instance of the spell with the appropriate variables. Which makes sense, because it'd be more efficient (beyond the loadscreen) to just load the appropriate assets in when the game client is launched and reference a table of assets in memory, than adjusting a larger temporary asset to later be destroyed with the game client. (sorry if this isn't clear, i'm trying to be as layman on the topic as possible).
I remember there was a patch a long time ago where heimer's level 1 turrets did way more damage than intended. It was before his rework and i remember it because I reported it and it subsequently got fixed in the next patch. I never took notice but I wonder if there was a decimal error with it.
pretty sure that the shield and heals passive effect being 30% stronger (changed back in 7.12) is also a decimal point off, hence the ridiculous heals and shields going around right now (I believe it's 300% stronger rather than 30% you guys stated)

Gets 1000x effect of heals, 1000x max health, and takes 1000x more damage. GG.
Premier urf champion in the game
Build Titanic Hydra. 1 shot everything in the game.
From a coding stand point, it's probably they just typed an extra 0 somewhere Pretty easy mistake to make in all honesty
...........

Can it be though?
Good. This is just the buff Udyr needed to ruin my games forever and Riot hit the money!
I'm glad we see the day where a champion finally gets the buff we wanted all along.
No link, no manners. I denounce you HongChongDong
Provide a link to it

Not an actual change. It's a bug, but a hilarious one at that.
Riot, while I'm usually supportive, if a bit questioning, of changes, this one seems a bit excessive. :P
Here's the guy that did it. He even went so far as to call it a "mundane detail". No accountability, Riot. Let him have it, guys:

It's part of those pre-season changes. In order to combat damage creep, everyone's health pool is being increased by 50x.
