Anyway, I wanted to ask, If I got into diamond 5, and stayed at 0 LP and didn't play ranked for the rest of the season, would it be possible to drop to plat 1 from decay? Or would I stay in D5 because my MMR would stay the same?
You will decay into the next division (even if it's a tier drop) if you decay at 0 LP. Your MMR stays the same so it won't be hard to get back up, but I recommend just playing your monthly game. If you just got promoted you'll have 10 games of demotion protection, so use it for that if you're afraid of losing; your MMR has to be really low to drop a tier from losing anyway.
are you asking if you play yourself up there, or if you get boosted for the rewards and then quit ranked for the season?
