could you make lucians'q dodgeable

basicaly the only scenatrio in which lucian misses his q is when he fails to aim if his weakness has to be suspectibility to lane bullying then dont allow him to atack from a far (so reliably)

You can dodge it. 90% of the battle is positioning, which is one of the most important mechanics as an ADC anyway. It's cast range is 500, and since it isn't a skill shot this means he needs to come into his low attack range to be able to use the spell on you. Or line up the shot off a minion and hope you stay within the max 1100 range. If you can't tell how close or far you are in terms of range, the typical ADC range is 550. Hit a to bring up your aa range indicator and double the size. This will give you an accurate representation of how far away you need to be. Also remember it has a .35 delay to it. When laning against a Lucian be aware of his position to you, and your position to your friendly minions. Takes some practice but it is pretty easy to avoid once you understand these things better during a match. Hope this helps!

he does not need to hope for it to hi i myself hit it 90% out of time (its a reliable poke once you get used to it )

If you understand the mechanic and the range of the spell I don't understand why you can't dodge it. I can't remember the last time a Lucian poked me out of a lane. Especially since they nerfed his range.

they nerfed the range of his autos and q targeting range which actualy changes nothing, lucian still pokes through minions and you cant predict when he fires someone like vayne can juke but not all of the adc's have spammable dashes (lucian and vayne are the only ones )

Graves. Caitlyn. Ezrael.

Juking out of Lucian's Q by using your dash is never a bad idea if you immediately turn on him and harass him for it

SPAMMABLE EARLY

Why does it need to be spam able? If you, say, blink out of a Lucian Q as Ezrael, auto him while it goes off then Q him you've won an extremely heavy trade against Lucian. Is that not the optimal way to use that blink 9 times out of 10 despite the decently long cooldown?

And if you're worried about Lucian targeting you at long range with Q, you can watch your positioning relative to him and make sure he doesn't have a straight shot between you and a minion. It's the same thing as positioning to avoid MF's double Up, a clear and fairly interesting and unique form of Counterplay.

Personally if I'd change anything about Lucian it'd be the free fucking dash. He was a strong lane bully whose bully potential was gated by early mana costs similar to graves and MF.....theeen we just shaved 40 mana out of his rotation and made a harass damage and repositioning tool free-yolo!

it has to be smammabe
if its not as spammable as lucians q then it does not solve the isue of lucian poking you hard

Yes it does. You make a play and juke an early Lucian Q you can easily get him down to 50% hp. Then you just keep him off the minion wave and he can't use them to target Qs. Then it's much harder for him to get off nasty Q pokes when he has to get within your range to target it. If you get him to where he has to Dash+Q to trade with you, he pretty much makes himself a sitting duck for you and your support to beat up on. That's always my goal vs Lucian as support.

looking at lucians in my team, enemy lucians, and what i see when i play lucian its not so easy

That is what makes it so predictable though. No Lucian in lane is going to cast his q on you directly and it is fired in a straight line. You can tell by lucians positioning from you and your wave of minions when he will cast his q. It isn't like it is a skill shot where he can shoot it anywhere from any position. He has to cast it from low range off of a minion in a straight line with a delay. By simply not lining up with minions you can avoid the poke entirely. While you are casing your wave you are generally 550 units away. And Lucian is 500 away and that is on relative to want minions your are casing at the moment. You can so easily bait it out by pretending to cs a soldier minion, lining up, then hard turn as you move out of the straight line projectile as the delay takes place. Then punish him with your main trading tool.

it takes a little practice to learn how to launch those q's without enemy predicting it
