The strategies and champions have been refined much clearer than they were in s1. Back in season one no one cared about a 'meta' you played whatever was the strongest in which ever lane. I don't think people grouped champions into top, mid, or jungle. I don't think you can apply the same strategies now because it simply won't work with the meta against a competent team and the champions you pit Jax against are champions he simply can't compete with in a duo lane.

I'm sure it will have some success rate in Solo/DuoQ with the tendency for teams to be disorganised.

no, this game was in august 2011, phantom dancer no longer gave dodge, and dodge couldn't dodge turret shots Also, there was ANNIE and malz in the opposed team to give you an idea how pushing was difficult if jax wanted to push

they still won

like i said. splitpushing is still a thing. with proper lane management if you know how to start a slow push into the enemy direction, you can pick a yi with teleport and take a turret before the opponent can react.

but those are often nieche scenarios. ranged adc are all around the strongest when it comes to sieging turrets, taking objectives like nash and drake, and the safest at dealing large amounts of champion damage. thats also whats wrong with the class imo. theyre too strong at everything instead of having a clear nieche.

however youre comparing the game today with the game 4 years ago. it changed a lot. and i mean a LOT. its simply not the same game anymore and the strategies that used to work dont necessarily work now.

not to mention, bruisers and jax in particular have been nerfed a lot compared to the state of the game today. lategame jax was almost unstoppable at the time.

i remember fondly being able to tank 5 people with a full build malphite for half a minute. thats not exaggerated. can you even imagine that? today you get blown up in 2 seconds even with the tankiest build by focus fire of that many champions. thats how much the game changed.

but yea, bruisers were nerfed, and adc early game got good, ashe used to suck until having 2 or 3 items, now ashe can manage to do damage at lvl 3/4. i hope riot will do something to give a niche to ADC because this is retarded

now did you hear me?i didn't say that you can't split push anymore, i said that you can just not lane against them any more. they will deny you so hard.

winning bot against adc isnt the issue. the problem is erven if you win early on, the enemy team will still be stronger with an adc by midgame, than you with your fed yasuo.

because you will really have trouble taking turrets with only a melee adc. the problem is, that against 1 champ with decent waveclear on the enemy tema, you will not get in range of that thing without taking turret shots. while a ranged adc can always manage to get a couple of hits in and retreat, while enemy clears minions.

so, riot needs to make it easier? buff item 3056 or bringitem 3430

or pick Ziggs TwistedFate

  1. League is a much different game now since it was in season 1. Champions, items, minions, towers, the jungle, and everything else has changed since then.

  2. ADCs aren't required for pushing. They really are nice to have, but not required. They are required in a team comp because they can deal out high, sustained physical damage in a teamfight or to objectives, safely. While there are melee champs that can deal horrendous amounts of damage in teamfights and can make towers their bitches, they can't do those things while standing behind the relative safety of the frontline like a marksman. Having your DPS standing behind an Alistar is much better than having them face to face with three of the enemy team.

melee are specialy designed to dps without having to worry, tryndamere has 5 sec immortality, yasuo has windwall and 500 hp shield. But you are right, some melees don't have those abilities like Yi, and it just proved my point, THEY AREN'T REQUIERED TO PUSH
