How can a champion go on for so long being broken?

I can't recall a time when Ekko wasn't an overloaded fuckwad. Why doesn't Riot actually nerf the fucker?

This is all happening because of the Tri-Force change along with all the new items Riot decided to add like Deadmans and Gage.

Why do you keep changing your game for the worse with new champions that are broken and new items that are broken? (By new champions I mean Early 2015)

Overloaded doesn't mean broken. Ekko as a champion is completely fine, problem is that he can abuse some builds that are not supposed to be viable on him (looking at tank Ekko)

There are a lot of oveloaded champions that are utter garbage.

this exactly. Ap ekko is actually a really good champion once you understand him. He isnt someone going around oneshotting squishies or at least he didnt when i played him before the nerfs.

What he did so was find moments where he could deal his dmg and then run out. Almost like poke but more risky and the opportunity for his teammates to follow up on the slowed target. Or he would run in and finish someone that had been brought low by the engage. He can still do that, I guess.

But he lacks the ability to feed himself in lane. And he is hard to farm with, being melee range. And one of his best solo q builds got nerfed. Abyssal was really key on him because it gave him offense, defense, and waveclear. I remember gettin a kill in lane, buying this early and then clearing the back line of miinions with one q. That was magic on him because it opened me up to explore the enemy jungle without missing minions. I wouldnt even visit bot lane as a first choice of roaming. I would want to scope the jg and ward a camp that was up. Then kill the jg with my w stun into combo and ignite. Doing that at 10-14 min into the game really changes the way you can play it and it costs a lot more to play that way now because you dont have the fast waveclear you used to.

People just do not understand the difference between Overpowered, Broken and Overloaded, that's all. :)

Overpowered was Renekton back then when he had no counter at the top.

Broken is champion that doesn't work as intended, eg. Shyvana's ultimate is broken because it doesn't work as intended.

Overloaded is a champion who has too much hing in his kit, but sometimes more is less. Eg. Azir who has too much but is utter garbage right now or Yasuo who has too much and is plain stupid and unfair if played well. Also, the best example of overloaded would be Lee Sin's ultimate that can be used as an initiate, engage, disengage, displacement, has high base damage + bonus 200% AD and on top of that enemies hit the enemy turned projectile take bonus physical damage. It's like someone's entire kit in 1 spell and that's the definition of overloaded, which again, doesn't mean that Lee Sin is top tier Jungler as he used to be once ago.

When you have over 100 champions in a game, its already hard enough for some champion to suddenly become god tier when they change up items. Plus likely they have to play the 'it will ruin Ematch, worlds, etc. whatever the competition scene is called if they shotgun blast everything with nerfs and changes repeatedly.' At the very least Riot can chunk out changes every few weeks where certain games (cough Wakfu cough) will have such a bad management of the game they basically only pull 'updates' every 3 months. Namely because of bullfudge marketing team, development team likely being replaced often and forced to either be minimalize lazy on changes or being choked to do retarded additions and then suddenly change focus to something else when they already have half a dozen different 'scenarios' going on and they have to spend time revamping earlier 'islands and dungeons' instead.

But yeah, Ekko at the very least did get enough changes to where his base values aren't going to let him screw opponents all the time and can just stack tankie(at least not as much as he USED TO) and he is forced to go more along a AP focused path to do actual damage, but his kit could at least use fixes to make either a powerful utility user but lacks damage if he can't make use of his utilities or his utilities are weak but he has to rely on them to even be able to damage the target at all. Sounds like the same argument but the former makes him screwed if he can't pull his gimmicks off and the latter just makes him something akin to a auto attack only champion when he can't pull off anything to let him 'tip the scales'. Either way he's ruined if he doesn't play proper, such as saving his gimmicks to use them in a combo then constantly spam Q and then save E when he's about to jump in after he hits off his W field which the little 'not visible till a few seconds later' can trick people out less they are some Fiora champion ready to ruin your E jump in lawl stun and instead you get wrek'd by her counter stun.

Just like how someone has to lose in a match, you can't expect a company to be some perfect jesus level messiah of what it manages, they will always make bad decisions especially when they got plenty of things 'pressuring' them from just freely changing things and expect everything to be better and no repercussions will hit just because they ruin a top tier champion by nerfing them to trash. Riot's still a company that has to earn money to begin with. )) At least they don't scum bag like some other companies and just overload their games with cash grabs or pay to even win grabs and rarely do any changes whenever they update.

Some may call me saying bullfudge on what i just said, but how many companies can you say run only a few or even 1 free to play game and still has good active attention to it and isn't loaded with things like cash grab easy mode buys, premium services, DLC expansions or just silly old plain 'pre order buys' to drum up attention even before its actually been released or had actual gameplay previews done for it? Then just turns out to be some vanilla copy game with nothing making it really stand out from some other game that came out years ago?

They should probably nerf his passive a bit. It does a bit too much damage and the huge movement speed buff combined with a fairly significant slow is a bit much, especially considering the 5 second CD.

They do nerf his ass though.
