Riot's Preseason ranked is absolute crap

Riot, if you're going to allow ranked to continue and have it affect where you get placed once the season starts, do the soft reset first. My last 4 games in a row I've been playing against former diamonds and high plat players and getting the crap stomped out of me when my team has silver players.

I get that this means that we're all in "placement" matches, but this kind of match making is ridiculous. I've been playing this game since S1 and never have I see such a shoddy match making system in place. It makes the game toxic, and not fun to play.

Season 7 ranked hasnt started so they are doing a reset to give the system something to go on when it actually starts.

Then stop complaining and play them. If you get it then you also understand complaining does nothing. Just take the opportunity to stomp on some silvers and solo carry.

I literally played a game with a Diamond 5 and a Bronze 4 in the same game, you can OP.GG me and check, that game had every single rank from Bronze to Diamond in it. That's not OK, that's not a soft reset. Diamonds do not play with Bronzes in a soft reset.

Something's up with matchmaking in normal games too. I am gold IV and I usually duo/trio with low silver players, but half my games have at least one platinum player in them, and the others usually have several high golds.

A lot of the time the platinum player will be on my team, so it will be a gold IV and a plat vs like all silvers or something. WTF Rito?

Preseason ranked is always crap. That's why they didn't have it for the first couple preseasons. Either suck it up and roll with the chaos, or hide out in normals for awhile.

(which is clearly what a lot of people are doing, because the skill variance in normals is in full preseason disparity right now Although watching the D3 in my last game poop on our S4 was actually pretty amusing.)

The high level players don't want bronze teammates, and vice versa.

Hell I'm out of placements and I'm still getting terrible matchmaking. Like...the worst I have EVER seen in any preseason since I started playing. I'm getting anywhere from bronze 5 to plat after placements, and let me tell you...there is DICK you can do to carry when your top laner is bronze, and their lane opponent is plat, and the highest you have is an ex gold 4. Your top is gonna be butt blasted, and you can't even blame it on them, because what are they supposed to do as a bronze against a mid to high plat?
