Does it seem like you wait longer and longer on a game each season?

Title pretty much says it all. I feel like each season I am waiting longer on games. Is LoL dieing out? And I know it is not just because I am getting in higher Elo, I know that I am improving and getting better as a player. But some of the people in some of my games tells me that my MMR is still pretty low. And I get why, I am not really good myself. I do not play enough to be.
