Lol Ideas from some randy Silver

Hello Forums, let me introduce myself, I am a silver 2 ADC main from NA. While I am not Challenger, I ask you to not disregard my ideas simply cause I am silver, instead give me your thoughts and we can talk about them. Additionally, it's worth mentioning that I learn English only a few years ago, so there may be some typos or improper grammar.

So first and foremost, as I am an Ezreal Lucian Kaisa ADC main, I feel like I should start off with that. Currently, there are poor item options for marksmen which when combined with their terrible base stats in essentially everything, makes playing them hell. My proposed changes are to give a small buff to most marksmen's base magic resist and scaling health. I feel like there are solid options for armor and magic resist but it makes almost no difference since marksmen have no health nor do they have viable options to build health. This makes it not uncommon for a standard mid lane assassin or control mage having nearly double the health of a standard marksmen. The extra base magic resist is to help against strong poke supports like Brand brand or Zyra zyra, riot themselves even stated that these champions are causing problems but felt like nerfing them was a bad call so buffed forbidden idol instead, a better alternative would be just to give marksmen slightly higher base magic resist. Additionally, I propose making changes to 3 items to help ADC's have better build options.

item 3095 Stormrazer in its current form is good for two big reasons, it gives 70 attack damage and it gives a reliable crit source. The big problem is that the item is very bad late game and most ADC's can't afford to replace it with a zeal item because they don't give AD. I'd change it to build out of Pickaxe, Phage and Cloak of Agility, 350g (3250g Total). This new Stormrazer would give 50AD, 20% Crit Chance and have UNIQUE Passive - Rage: Basic attacks grant 20 Movement Speed for 2 seconds. if the basic attack is a crit, its increases gained movement speed to 30 and slows the target by 30. I don't know how flat slows stack with percent slows, so if this were to by some miracle be implemented, one might have to look at its interaction with frozen mallet, this would also give a crit item that gives AD and also give health options for ADC's. an alternative build path would be Phage, Brawler's glove, B.F. Sword, 325g

The new item 3508 essence reaver is a joke, the only marksmen who generally build it is Lucian and sometimes Sivir, Xayah or Kai'sa. Instead, I would recommend changing it to build out of B.F. Sword, Caulfield's Warhammer, Cloak of Agility, 200g or B.F. Sword, Caulfield's Warhammer, Brawler's glove, 600g, This new item would give 70 AD, 20% CDR, 20% crit chance and have UNIQUE Passive - Basic attacks restore 1% of missing mana, Increased to 2% of maximum mana if the basic attack crits. This is essentially a merge of the new and old essence reaver, with much more similarities to the older one.

Also, I think a change to item 3053 Sterak's gage to be purchasable by ranged champions but wouldn't give Sterak's fury and would shield for less would be cool, but that's not as important as the first two and would need a lot of testing first.

My second topic is outplay potential and more specifically item 3140 QSS and summoner 1 cleanse. with riot trying to move the meta to much more damage heavy and explosive meta, similar to the season 3 meta. A major difference those is that in the season 3 meta, it was possible to outplay situations in a way that is simply not possible now. Take the Zed Faker vs Zed Ryu 1v1 for example, if that same play happened today, all of Faker's mechanical skill would have been useless since both ignitesummoner 14 and death mark can no longer be QSS’ed. I feel like that's a big problem right now, a lot of times it feels like there are no options when facing a fed Diana Zed Kassadinassassin or Irelia Kayn Riven bruiser because a lot of the damage is just unavoidable and you're just stuck feeling like there were no options, kinda like when a fed zed all-ins you, you flash to dodge all 3 of the q’s but the damage from his e+r+ignite (which ignite procs electrocute) is easily enough to 100-0 you, even if you’ve built plenty of armor. So what do I propose, make cleanse and item 3140 QSS do the same thing, it's very confusing for new players and is kinda clunky. Next, make the cooldown for item 3140 QSS 120 seconds and keep cleanse at 210 but make it no longer give tenacity after. Finally, make both able to remove the following, Blind, Charm, Flee, Slow, Silence, polymorph, Root, Stun, Sleep, Taunt, Drowsy, (other forms of CC I cant think off… not suppression those) Barrier, Ignite, Damage over time/Delayed Damage (Brand Brand Passive, Malzahar Malzahar E, Zed Zed ult, ect.), Displacements, Knockups, Grievous wounds and Camille Camille Ult. this is essentially every form of CC except suppression, any damage over time effect, debuffs and Camille's R, which is essentially a form of CC. As for Suppressions, the should be removed by a item 3139 Mercurial Scimitar and possibly an AP version of the item. I feel like these changes should help to bring outplay potential back into the game while not destroying champions who it might effect with its long cooldown.

Cool fact: I did not play in season 3 nor will I pretend as I have, this is just my view of the meta at the time and research on what was meta at the time.

My Third and final topic is quality of life changes. These will just be in point form.

  • summoner 14 Ignite and summoner 11 Smite should not proc towards electrocute or dark harvest
  • summoner 7 Heal shouldn't stack with grievous wounds or other heal debuffs. (if someone has heal debuff and ignite, heal only is 36% effective)
  • Dark Harvest damage shouldn’t add to the execution cap of Pyke Ult
  • Riot should take a look at champion and skillshot hitboxes again, they have gotten very unpredictable which is not good for the competitive integrity of the game Lux Lux Lux Lux Lux
  • All Champions should be unlocked in practice tool
  • More will be added in future…

  1. In response to the increased health scaling and MR for marksmen, they don't need that. That is how the role is designed, it balances out the MASSIVE amount of damage they put out and the crazy advantages they get by being ranged. You just need to hone your game sense and mechanical skills better to compensate. I agree that Brand and Zyra (as well as pretty much any other mage-kill lane character) are kind of a problem, but that just means you need to change up your playstyle to accommodate.

  2. Changing Stormrazor to just having crit chance is stupid and goes against the design of the item. Its a perfectly balanced item that does in fact scale well into the late game, because the 3 second wait time scales down with attack speed (which any crit adc will be building anyway) and the crit damage scales up to its max with a single complete zeal item (200% crit damage at 30% crit chance). It's not meant to replace the zeal item in a build, but to add to a zeal item's power and give you an early power spike that a zeal item doesn't provide. Giving it a passive that both makes you go faster AND slows your opponent is over powered and merely a change to make up for you lack of skill in the role. You should also probably check your info, cause it gives you 60 attack damage rn, not 70.

  3. The "new" Essence Reaver (cough its been this way since patch 8.11) is no joke. Sure it isn't normally used by meta slave players, but it is essential for non crit builds. The first recipe you suggested is literally the old recipe for the weapon. the second one is different solely because Cloak of agility is no longer in the game (again, check your damn info) Your version of the item isn't some sort of "merge of the new and old essence reaver" it's just a slightly nerfed version of the old reaver, with no similarities to the new one.

  4. ha ha ha ha ha HAHAHAHAHAHAIVHIEFIFAMNDIFAMEIEALADHFAAHAHAHOFAMVIH! EVERY SINGLE DAMN ADC MAIN COMPLAINS ABOUT STERAK'S GAGE NOT BEING FOR RANGED CHAMPS, JUST GET THE FUCK OVER IT, YOU DON'T NEED IT. You don't see melee mains complaining about how Runaan's doesnt work for them, do you?

  5. The changes you suggest to QSS and Cleanse are simply you complaining about something that you see as unfair when in reality the issue isnt the champs or anything else like that, it's you. Your own lack of game sense and common sense positioning and teamwork in fights and in lane is what's leading to your issue. Seriously, watch any pro gameplay (NA LCS, LCK, Worlds, etc.) and you’ll see that these champs you seem to have such an issue with aren’t even played. This is because they understand how to play against these champs using their basic game sense and positioning skills. Your suggested changes to QSS and Cleanse are so ridiculously short sighted and self centered that just re-reading that section made me cringe and rage. You aren’t attempting to make the game better with these, you’re attempting to give yourself a crutch.

  6. Ignite and Smite proc-ing electrocute and dark harvest make plenty of sense, they are damaging abilities. There is literally no counter point you can give me to this, you’re just crying about burst.

  7. You seriously don’t seem to understand how Heal works or is supposed to be used. Your suggested change to make it apply grievous wounds would be such a greater hindrance than you can imagine, because grievous wounds reduces ALL SOURCES OF HEALING, whereas the Heal debuff only applies to other uses of Heal within a 35 second span.

  8. You don’t understand how Pyke’s ulty works. It still does damage, so it proc-ing Dark Harvest makes sense. Perhaps it is some sort of unintended interaction, but it definitely makes sense to me.

  9. I agree that the hitbox detection is a little wonky with certain skill shots, but game lag and server lag could also be affecting these.

  10. Having all champs being unlocked in practice mode makes sense, but you also shouldn’t need to practice with champs that you don’t have unlocked yet, cause you can’t play them in any actual games (apart from ARAM).

There we go, rant over. To summarize, stop spending your time trying to change the game to suit your low skill level and instead focus on trying to improve yourself. You have to keep in mind that Riot needs to balance the game around both professional level play, as well as Bronze/Silver levels of play, and they do an amazing job of it. That’s why League has been able to persist and be so popular for so long. Maybe watch some professional level or challenger play, and don’t focus too much on what items they build or what skills the level first, but more on their basic mechanical skill and game sense. Pay close attention to where they ward and when, pay close attention to their mini-maps (cause you know they are), and pay extra close attention to how they move. You’ll pick up a lot of little tricks that way and hopefully improve your own game play experience.

I've got a few things I'd like to address here and I'll kinda go in order. Firstly, Stormrazor. I think it's in a really good place balance-wise right now, it gives AD and AS along with a guaranteed Crit for a lower price point. This makes it a good starting OPTION, as an ADC you have a choice to buy it for the earlier advantage, or skip it to go along the lines of BF + Zeal. The item is MEANT to be weak later on, simply because it's so strong early. It's a purposeful tradeoff. Secondly, I agree with you Essence Reaver is way too niche of an item, it needs more changes, I do like the idea of bringing Crit/CDR idea back to it similar to the old version. My final thought. DON'T KILL CHAMPIONS IDENTITIES WITH QSS/CLEANSE! RITO pls, Zed already does 0 DMG without his ult proc. The only way he is worth anything is by completely outfarming/outskilling his opponent and snowballing hard. If he can, sure he can one shot the carry. BUT, if you gave your ADC that same amount of gold in the same amount of time, they wouldn't just oneshot the enemy carry, but demolish every teamfight straight to your nexus... Assassins are weak, ADCs are weak, Bruisers rule the Rift. That's all I have to say. Zed LeeSin

Lux's hitboxes are fine, you just gotta dodge perpendicular instead of just away in the same direction. Also Lux is not really competitive.
