Senna had better friggin' work.

Word I'm hearing is "ADC" and "support marksman". Knowing with about 90% certainty that her kit will synergize with Lucian (and probably at least a couple other marksmen), that terrifies me. Botlane is already loaded right now. You've got Lux, Morg, Pyke, Brand, all kinds of high-damage supports that are consistently walking away with botlane. Things are so stacked towards damage that supports don't even run support summoners anymore, instead opting for Ignite. Ignite! If you took Ignite on a support three years ago, you'd be trolling your ADC.

I'm not saying a marksman can't support. I've run Support Ashe both before and after the rework effectively. All I'm saying is it sounds to me like rather than looking at retuning botlane, Riot is just smashing it towards a meta where one team has lost three towers bot in under 15 minutes. That's a scary proposition, and one that may chase me from the game for good. I can play other roles, but at my core, I'm always a support. Always a healer or tank. I facilitate my team, I don't hunt for glory. If my suspicions are correct, there won't be a place for players like me in this game this time next year.

At no point has Riot mentioned that she is intended to ADC. They've only ever used Marksman in regards to her, while stating her kit would be a blend of utility and damage. I think it's very early to be jumping the gun and crying wolf about a kit that we haven't even seen yet. We don't even know what her scaling is yet, so we can't make any assumptions yet. If all of her scaling is AP, that means she's going to need to build AP items to function, which means her auto-attacks will be damn near worthless without some kind of special passive in her kit. That would ideally be the best build style for her, to prevent her from going insanely off the charts in terms of damage and building.

3 years ago people picked either ignite or exhaust Ignite was buffed Exhaust was nerfed Guess what happens? And exhaust still works, even if its not a "remove enemy adc from the game with 1 button for 2 seconds". Assassins still hate this spell, Morgana still loves it, etc

That's fine. But you are not supposed to outheal all damage in the game(unless its Soraka) or outtank it. And it never worked that way

Marksman =/= ADC. Azir is a marksman, technically. All marksman means is that they are squishy and auto-attack focused, and tend to scale. The next champion is also going to be a marksman, by the looks of the roadmap. So there's that.

From what we've seen so far from the stream, Riot posts, and her bio, it looks like Senna is going to have a shield/heal of some kind, and the ability to turn into a wraith. So that tells me that she's going to lean more towards a poke/enchanter support like Lulu or Lux, who trades range for an ability that keeps her safe from dives. She'll probably deal good damage, but she looks like she'll be a protective support at her core. Just a protective support with a gigantic gun.

People very much used to take Ignite on supports, dependent on who they were fighting. Only reason why they wouldn't have the option of Ignite was because of how weak it used to be (also, Exhaust used to be outrageously strong).

I'm convinced Rito wants botlane to be as awful as possible. Alcoves, reduced jungle camp exp leading to even more ganking in an already hyper-gank meta, broken overloaded champs like Pyke, burst mages as "supports", and now ADC supports with that role in mind during development.

Fuck botlane, time to learn a mid champion and leave that shit show behind.
