Being able to play with a variable number of my friends competitively as opposed to raging randoms? Sign me up. This is going to get so many people into playing ranked who wouldn't otherwise.

It's a good idea as long as they scrap 4 man parties. Someone in Solo Queue should never be forced to try and work with a 4 man party.

Everything from knowing where you'll be going, intent of other players and the new multi person ban is just spot on. So many people lack the ability to communicate which champ they want to pick or their intended role, I now have the opportunity to see if our team is missing something and if I can pick a champ that provides that. Thanks riot for creating a method of teamwork where it is most important!

:D , hope your friends are high elo players... since otherwise have fun playing against those smurfs boosting their low elo buddies. Or just stomping low elo players as a 4-man-premade, for shits and giggles.

No it won't... once people start realizing that games are so random and imbalanced.
A concern of mine though is how the ranking mindset will know be. You hear Bronze or Silver players who are stuck that say "I play with Gold > players all the time in norms and do fine!" Well that's for a number of reasons....normals people aren't trying hard, and even if they are, those higher ranked players are often doing the decision making for you. At least that's the case when I play with my lower ranked friends.
I feel like me and my friends that are above gold could easily "boost" our Bronze/Silver friends to at least Gold. However when their not playing with us their lack of Solo Queue knowledge will be apparent yet higher level players will be saddled with them.
I love it too
And its also going to get many people out if ranked
