Is Aatrox really that bad?

I love Aatrox. But every time I play him, I have the same exact complaints.

"Why does reviving make me lose all my attack speed?" "Why is there an interrupt on my shitty dash?" "Why is the knock-up on my shitty dash barely enough to make them lose an auto attack?" "Why does my shitty dash, in addition to having a shitty knock-up, deal shitty damage and make me 10% deader?" "Why does my E make me 5% deader while dealing shitty damage and applying a reasonable slow?" "Why does building AD make my W hurt me more?" "Why do I have the worst dash in the game?" "I FUCKING HATE MY Q!" "Why is the delay on my ult long enough to let the fleeing enemies get to the fucking end of my new attack range?" "What does my ultimate even DO for me?" "Why doesn't my revive at least take my shitty dash off cool down so I can do something when I spawn?" "Why is my dash so shitty?" "I could deal with the rest of this shit if I thought for a single fucking second I could count on my dash."

You know, just those kinds of things.

EDIT I have actually shouted all of those things at my computer screen, in case you don't believe anyone could think such things.

He just doesn't work well unless you get ahead but he doesn't have the tools to get there. His ratios are all over the place and his toggle is just weird to use. When ahead he needs AD and lifesteal to burst people and even out 2v1 or 3v1 fights, but his sustain scales much harder with attack speed.

He isnt worst. Illaoi is the worst. But Aatrox comes close. Thing about him is that he is auto attack reliant champion who sacrifices HP to do damage all while being squishy as hell. He has nothing really going for him. Mediocre knockup, bad and expensive slow. His sustain is decent tho, but not worth it. And his ulti is just bad. His passive has too long CD to be worth anything.

Aatrox isn't bad, but outclassed...a mistake many players confuse

He's full of wasted potential with a lackluster kit and wonky ratios. Everything he does can be done better by another champion. Is he bad? No, but he is disappointing

He's sexy means he not the worst, Fat Illaoi is worse

His design is addicting, yet his kit is terribly designed as far as numbers and mechanics go. He is not bad, just cannot ever be good without some extreme balance mistake.

Hes viable but yeah if behind is kinda meh but you gotta look at it like this if you get an early kill or a double kill you can carry easily not to mention you have a GA passive every min or so to boot. Depending on your match up and comp as a team and vs the enemy get these and you can 1v2 just about anyone.

Yeah I had an Aatrox top on my team last night, and he goes 1-9 vs. a Nasus and Nasus gets our inhibitor at 15 minutes I think? Then he 1v4's the rest of my team while I'm forced to try to hold mid 1v4 as LeBlanc. After seeing that, I will say either that player or Aatrox are the worst things in this game.
