Care to elaborate why you think this would be a good change?
Liandry's Torment has been nerfed a fell times in the AP direct because of the additonal damage mpen aplies with her passive. This in combination with a high AP value gives a pretty big powerspike for just one item. They reduced the AP to 50 (from 70). It's clearly this item is build arround AP but arround the passive & the mpen.
Removing the
and reducing the item price is a option that could basicly make it a cheaper alternative for
and further increase the item snowbal potentional.
Replacing
with
is another road namely changing it into a more bruiser style of item by dealing over time. The cdr will also be helpfull for support & it will also further increase the gap between
&
. The only downside to this direction is the increased price. But for some reason I found this pretty strange anyway that a snowball item would get a mid-late powerspike that is only aplied lategame.
why did the ap drop between guise and torment?
I thought maybe it's better be
+
+ 595 (795) = 2900 (3100)
+200 (300) Health, +60 Ability Power, +10% Cooldown Reduction...
MagPen and Passive unchanged
You can't give it more AP without making it to strong:
V1.0.0.152: 70 AP V1.0.0.154: Ability power reduced to 60 from 70. V3.02: Ability power reduced to 50 from 60.
I never knew that history... since I'm only less than 6 months playing... so maybe
+
+
+ 430 = 3200
+400 Health +50 Ability Power +10% Cooldown Reduction
MagPen and Passive Unchanged
because my only other option is:
Reduce
AP from 25 to 20 and raise the HP from 200 to 250 with no cost change...
so
+
+ 695 = 3000
with +300 HP +50 AP +10% CDR with no change on MagPen and Passive...
The problem is that they will never provide the item with that low of a combine cost. Currently the combine cost for
is 980 gold. It seems that riot really put a price on the passive. The base stats are 82.9% gold efficient. But here's the shock. Haunting Guise is 107.2% gold efficient. Riot litterly counts the passive for like 15% of the entire item. Sometimes the passive can be worth the gold but in most cases it isn't.
is in a pretty strange position right now. It's to expensive to make it a good support item. It only builds into one situational item that scales poorly in the lategame. While you need
&
to fully abuse it's effect of the
passive.
If you are looking to the champs that building it:

. It are champs where their powerspike is their midgame & slowly transfer into sustain dps champion while the game enters lategame. It wouldn't help them a lot if they get more AP on it.
