I was right! Boards are "negatively impacting new players or potential customers".

So that's why they're closing them.

Rather than fix the game they're going to remove the boards can't have customers giving negative feedback on a product they're using and paying money into.

Typical RIOT. EA 2.0

I called it. Said it.

they are going to end up being a laughing stock. They don't realize the damage they are doing to their reliability, stability and their brand value overall.

Oh yes, public opinion of League of Legends will be in good hands over at Reddit. Yes, Reddit, where literally anything even resembling criticism is deleted, or harassed into obscurity. What an absolutely great move

If your game has horrible balance, and garen and nasus are braindead cannot lose lane tier, then FIX IT instead of trying to keep the community being a bunch of willfully ignorant NPCs

They are closing the boards because Reddit's echo chamber exists.

"Rather than fix the game" theres nothing to "fix". Just because .000000001% of the playerbase cant figure out how to not press qwer into yasuo wind wall doesnt mean it needs to be fixed.

New and potential customers will still be put off by people telling them that the game is trash
