this champion is sad. garen is really sad. I mean last game someone picked him . I picked darius. the dude wasn't bad at all but he just couldn't do anything. try to CS. get Qd by me. if he Qs me i simply outtrade him with passive.

this game our top laner blind picks garen. enemy picks swain. dude is 20 cs behind 4 minutes in. there is just nothing a garen player can do against 3/4s of the top lane roster. sad champion. at least mordekaiser does decent damage and can beat many melees. garen loses to most melees and every ranged champion.

dont blind pick garen until riot fixes him. just don't I am surprised all the garen mains don't speak up.

I think that garen is okay at a lower level of play, but just gets shafted by people who do the things he does but does it better. also by Quinn

He just needs some better mobility in terms of gap closers (not running at them, Olaf has got that already), and better cc and peel for his team. He's probably more useless to his team than Teemo is.

garen is the definition of a match decided at champion select. I have played swain 2 times. I don't even own swain. I can buy swain right now and beat a garen main in my elo 10 out of 10 times. I can do the same thing on darius (even tho darius is my most played champion). garen can't do absolute shit against more than half the top lane roster.

There's probably a reason why most garen mains don't break plat or diamond. The champion is shit compared to everyone. I don't see why you'd blind pick him... If any other top laner is open play them. Maokai is better. Naut is better. Jayce is a fucking piece of shit that needs nerfs. Quinn is a birb who scratches harder than a grown ass man who has a giant sword.

Picking garen is picking loss most of the time.

how many times do you see top lane carry? i got so fed i went 22/1 agaist this garen. he wasn't bad at all he earned as much gold as the rest of his team and actually died not that much ( a lot but relatively ). but he just can't do jack shit. even if he was even in gold with me. wtf does he do? he can't 1v1 anyone let alone team fight.

swain went 12/1 against him.

look i only played garen like 5 times. and you can win with him if your opponent is bad or you hard counter lane. which are a few picks. garen's only lane is top lane. he shouldn't be this niche in his own only lane?. wtf. like i just feel bad for the champion and the people that want to play him

I think garen was probably much better when League only had a roster of 40 champs. But power creep is power creep and it's inevitable in games where champions aren't rotated out or consistently given reworks. You can't really make an entirely unique mechanic with about 130 champions.

true thats one thing. but they can still make him better. its just lazy as fuck at this point the champion is complete ass. I'd rather play azir and know that i have control of some sort

The problem is people don't really complain about garen. If the entire community just started spamming 'garen needs changes' riot for sure will need to look into it. See what happened to aatrox. A bunch of people circlejerked about riot not giving him changes, then they give him huge buffs and potential rework. Riot can't really check up on 130 champions, they need to rely on the boards and community to supply them with what we want.

Your Garen didn't even have Ignite to stop the Swain's healing though, nor did anyone have Executioner. I already paid that price myself when I went TP/Flash on Teemo vs. Mundo by accident.

but you are ranged and you can cs and at least not get facerolled on pre 10 minutes. mundo is really weak in lane and you don't need ignite to ruin his day. morrello works. if garen buys executioners he will insta die to swain poke.

Swain isn't about insta-killng anything, not sure what you're talking about. All Garen has to do is run Ignite and outsustain Swain's mana. Garen is an extremely hard to play champion around your elo simply because his plays are predictable. But you can't counter Q> Flash > Ulti without extreme reaction speed. That's never going to change about Garen and it's what makes him win. But no CC as a top laner hurts him more than any of his matchups (since the game is more teamfight oriented), so he has to take Ignite to win lane like Teemo and keep it buried.

Worst blind pick in the game honestly speaking is Yasuo . Because your team is likely to hate you before the enemy.

There's also Ryze MasterYi Tristana Azir who all have a tough time doing ANYTHING if the enemy team is competent.

Heimerdinger is 50/50 but I've seen it too many times where it's a random pick the person doesn't know how to play and loses almost immediately in lane.

Garen on the other hand can start W if he knows he can't trade in lane with Q like his melee matchups. Most people actually don't know this.

garen has no outplay potential. you have to understand that when you are a ranged champion. you can always. go even in lane if you play it right. garen cannot go even in lane if his enemy is competent. how the fuck does he grab cs with no ranged abilities and no way to avoid auto attacks and spells? he sucks. end of discussion. garen is literal garbage that needs to be fixed. he is fucking trash at anything above silver.

I've been beaten by yasuos many times in lane. even as darius i've struggled against yasuos many times. against garen. I never sweat. the lane couldn't get more fucking free. its the easiest thing in the world to feed off garen and take his tower while hes under it because the dude has no damage potential when your near minions and full hp.

Yasuo is by far the best pick if you are first, and he is free. Especially if you have any skill with the champion. He translates early laning pressure into late game carry, while being somewhat tanky. If you hate someone because of what the pick, like Riven or Yasuo then you are the toxic one. Judge someone by what they say, not what they look like.

You were gold for 1 season. Big deal, nobody fucking cares about our ranks. Our ranks don't have any importance to knowing that Riven is countered very easily if picked blind, and Teemo is easily counterpicked, but I was likely incorrect in saying he is counterpicked harder than Garen.
