Fizz vs Zed advice.

So what happened was pretty simple, I died at 3 (my fault entirely), died at 6 (Dodged his ult with e, I would have killed him but his Jungler came from our birds, though I had that side warded at the time) downhill from there. Farming was a bitch with the harass as well though i did dodge some of it but could not trade effectively at that point. Wasn't exactly fun from the beginning though we all know fizz is a pain to lane against anyways midlane. I didnt 'REALLY' learn anything about the matchup tbh, but it wasn't something I'd pick Fizz confidently into which is the underlying problem. Its supposed to be a skill matchup so I'd like to learn about it. Helpp?

It's all about playing around zed w for the early game if he uses it to farm or poke, if you can avoid it go in on him, more than likely the dude blew all his shit trying to poke.

His w has what a 22 second cd?

He's also melee like you and your autos around level 2 probably do more with wq as his passive only procs probably once during a fight.

Though that's a considerable risk even though you (should not guaranteed) win an early auto fight if you can force one.

Sorry if some of this doesn't help, I don't really play fizz and going off of what fizz could do early against zed.

If the players are equal skill zed wins. He can ult from your ult and dodge it completely. You can E his ult, but you'll still take the damage that it gives out. Obviously get a zhonyas though. You will be better late game

I find with the reduced zhonyas cost, rushing sheen pre zhonyas can give you the dmg you need to fight him. Also if zed throws his shadow for a trade, E onto him to dodge incoming blades and you will win the trade most times.

Its a skill match up but alittle in fizz favor

(Pre6) Early Zed will try to poke you with q w combo Dodge as best as you can. Use e pre 6 to dodge into an attack. When zed q w combos you e to dodge then qw him.

(Post6) When zed has ult save your e for when he ults you then you e on him then qw and ult him

(Post6 with zhonya) He will try to bait your e save it untill you get zhonya

Once you get zhonya use your e to dodge into an engage.
