One Trick Ponies deserve no respect or recognition

It's not intended that you only play one or two champions by Riot, nor should it ever be glorified or recognized as a feat regardless of if you're Diamond or higher. It also means even if you're challenger, you have no career options in League of Legends with how professional play operates.

To my eyes, a Silver player with the capability of filling in for every champion is more credible than any Diamond or higher OTP. Better flexibility and game knowledge.

And on a lesser note, when OTPs don't get what they want, they throw a tantrum instead of suckering up and playing someone else. That or they feed.

OTPs don't just play one or two champs. Their pools are most of the time the same as every average player out there. The difference between an OTP and you is they have that one champ they know everything about and they will abuse it to climb if given a chance to use them.

i don't think i praised myself. I'm stating a fact and you don't have anything against it.

I do think Silver players are better than me. Maybe even Bronze 1.

A silver player that plays all champions is better than any Diamond or above player that limits himself to a small pool if not two or three.

Except that the vast majority of champions are easy to pick up, and being familiar with their numbers is all that's really important when learning a new champ, save for a few.

'One Tricks' don't really exist, people spam champions they like because it's fun. That's all.

If you honestly think a challenger player couldn't pick up a new champion they've never played before, and completely dumpster a lower level player who is very familiar with the champion, then you're as dumb as a rock.

you're not giving enough credit to thd people who manage to play their champ in any/every lane jax otp getting autofilled as support sucks to play against, it takes way more dedication then you've ever known to get to that level

OP is salty he cannot be a successful OTP so he now hates everyone who actually manages to climb by being one. Sorry but OTPs do not care about being pros and if they actually cared they would actually put time and effort to learn other champions. When you are able to play a certain champion against any matchup, even unfavorable ones and still come out ahead? that deserves quite a bit of respect.

A Silver player that is a jack of all trades is not better than a Challenger that is a OTP not even close. First the challenger player knows the mechanics of the game and how to take advantage of any lead he manages to get. He knows what map awareness is, he knows when to trade, when to all in, when to fall back and play defensively. This are things that do not magically disappear just because you are a OTP. The Silver player is going to lack in multiple of those areas and be susceptible to a whole lot of things that the OTP challenger player wouldn't.

Dunno if you're trolling or not but I actually agree with this.

If someone is diamond and they can only play 1 role (or champion) it only means they are diamond in that role, but gold or lower in others. This is why I love autofill. It shows who is really meant for their elo, and good in every role and who isn't.

I think player, whatever his elo is, should be able to play every role on the same level or a lottle lower. For example, diamond mid adc and top, plat jungle, gold support.

Elo means how good you are at the game, not how good you are at one champion or role.

On one hand, I can agree with you at least on the point that One-Tricks don't really have or deserve options in Professional play - versatility is king, and, like you said, a Silver player who's a Jack of All Trades is much, much better than a One-Trick Pony.

But, they do at least deserve respect. Anyone who dedicates time and energy to mastering a champion, even if only a single one, deserves a great modicum of respect - with a caveat, of course. They don't need to be completely hailed with praise for what they can do with one Champion, but they do deserve a little bit of respect. Even moreso if they try to teach others how to use that Champion.

The way I see it, One-Tricks do at least deserve recognition in the knowledge that they could teach what they know - particularly to the Jack-of-Trades that we mentioned have "more a place" than them. So even if they don't have any footing for professional play, they still have a place in the whole play ecosystem, as it is.

But really who cares if a personally only play 1 or 2 champs? It doesn't mean they have less game knowledge or anything (mechanical skills is a different matter), it just means they only play 1 or 2 champs.
