I knew this would happen once damage was nerfed...

A popular League YouTuber complaining about the incoming tank meta... Seriously? Is this some sort of joke? There will always be a meta, some are more oppressive than others. But it's literally impossible not to have a meta. Can we not complain all day about metas? At least people aren't getting oneshot anymore, and tanks are actually beatable for the most part. I just wish turrets didn't crumble when looked at...

My god was this a stupid video.

"You could play whatever you wanted in any role and basically be considered not trolling" - yeah except tanks dummy. That's why they got buffed.

"Tanks got double buffed" - even if that's true, when you start in a deficit a double buff doesn't make you unstoppable killing machines.

"Now the game goes to 6 items length" - why is this bad?

"You used to be able to snowball as a jungler off early kills" - yeah, and everyone hated that. Where the fuck have you been?

The only intelligent thing he said here was that early game champs now have a smaller window. While I agree with that, there really shouldn't be early game-only champs.

Why do we care what sensationalized Youtubers are whining and crying about for the likes and subscribes?

This is actually a joke video.

There will never be a tank meta with conqueror in it's current state.

Tank metas are the worst.

So here's it how it goes

Riot introduces something new or changes something Something is stronger than it's counterpart Riot either buffs other stuff and nerfs the meta things or overnerfs something A strat/items/champs that were previously hindered before by the meta see the light of day and champions that were okay and got indirectly buffed by it start to shine New meta begins

a couple of thoughts on this

  1. fuck marksmen being mandatory. i dont want to see this shit ever again. if they become mandatory on bot lane again, i hope riot can fix it

  2. tanks should be viable.

  3. games having a chance to last a bit longer again is good for the game health

  4. this isnt fucking fortnite. there is no "die and go next" as he put it. if games are too snowbally its just "die and be stuck in the game for 20 minutes while slowly losing it, until you finally get out" this type of casual gameplay doesnt work for a moba and it will never work for league.

He's an assasin jungle main, the youtubers who main one group of champs hate seeing their class not be the deciding factors in games.

lol how stupid is this guy look at top, jungle and support play rates for tanks in comparison to other roles. Solo queue has never reflected pro play.

I like how when a Youtuber says something you like, it's proof the game is dying (Scarra).

But when someone disagrees with your statement, he's obviously an idiot.

Here's the truth; we're always going to have one of two metas. These metas are aggro and control. Aggro is when everyone tries playing carry champions and going balls to the walls, and control is stall, take it late game, traditional teamcomps.

Pro teams will always, ALWAYS love their control comps. It's static. It's safe. You can build comps around it and the utility you have will always net some sort of success. It's less risky.

Aggro is something you see more in low elo, because it requires snowballing or risky play to work.

Now when I say pro teams, I don't mean pro players. A lot of pro players (particularly in the mid and jungle) love their aggro champions. They love things that showcase how good they are at map control rather than their patience and ability to stall to 3-4 items. They find this meta to be refreshing because control champions are often miles ahead of aggro champions. It's fun to not play shit like Azir and Ryze and Orianna or Sej and Zac and Skarner 24/7, and it's great to have a meta where that simply isn't the go-to.

And it's really sad because the low elo players on this board complains about a meta that is actually punishing to mistakes (which is a good thing), claims that Riot is catering to pro play (which it isn't, like I said individual pro players might like it but it's terrible for teams that rely on consistent metas and strategies), then claims anyone who says otherwise is an idiot who has no idea what he's talking about despite the person making that claim never having the experience assessing the health of games at high elo.
